There's a MOA near here that I fly through often that B52s fly in at 5,000 AGL. Pretty cool to see unless you are also flying 5,000 AGL.

My plane went in for annual today. Fingers crossed nothing big emerges! I’m having some rubber boots applied to the tail to keep the rock chips at bay. It’s been getting pretty chewed up lately.

Hopefully the designers have learned a thing or two since Alan Shepherd's flight "incident"

I hate when that happens. Just say you forgot your checklist and will be right back. “Oh and I might as well pee while I’m out” :D

Experienced a B52 low level in 1977. On a canoe trip Northwest of Sudbury Ontario on the flightpath for test/training runs. Conversation impossible as the plane was under 100agl. I read about the training runs out of northern NYstate a few years later. In the middle of freakin' nowhere a monster bird flies by. You could smell the burnt jet fuel after a bit. You're a dirty bird!

...^^^... Every time I see that plane I want to fly on floats again ... what a beautiful aircraft ... great scenic pics too ...

Had 3 experiences on floats ... small lake in BC, and Vancouver, BC and a cool lake in Maine ... did some parasailing off of a friend's vintage Chris-Craft on that Maine lake too ... really miss those days ...

Those engines first flew during the writing of the Old Testament.

The youngest BUFF engine is the age of the average maintainer's daddy. How messed up is THAT?

We confirmed plans today for a mid (edit, June, not July :smack:) drive up to Rans in Kansas, dad will be attending the rudder building class and we’re gonna be checking out the S-21 outbound and likely placing an order for a kit, we’ve also been in contact with Viking and Valkeryie discussing a Viking 130 and firewall forward kit.
I’m pretty excited to get the wheels rolling on this as well as the hangar.

I've been very lucky living in this area the last ten years and working at Kennedy Space Center the last year to see plenty of launches from some awesome places.

As far as importance, this one is obviously way up there. As far as where I saw it from, conditions, etc it was fairly low, but cool nonetheless.
