I wonder if JBA gives you a afterlifetime warranty on salvation.. hmmm like if budda is the real god then you can show the warranty cert and still get into heaven

My 2 cents, is that i do not like how the JBA's have the balljoints install on the top of the arm, rather than below it. The entire stresses of the truck are being supported by the 4 small bolts. I know the lowers would take the majority of stress... but i personally do not like the design.

    Build thread coming soon.
Truck weight is not supported by the four bolts. The uca only locates the top of the spindle in relation to the lca, very little stress there in relation to the rest of the front suspension.

I have JBA uppers and DK lowers. I would still choose JBA for uppers even if I did it all over again.

Which one mounted on the bottom? I know that Camburg is pressed in from the top. Look like Dirtking and TC are pressed in from the top also. It's more of bolted in or pressed in.

Both my TC's and my Camburg's uniballs are installed from the bottom. There is a circlip holding them in. SPC's also install from the bottom. Basically, everything except for JBA's mount from the bottom.

I hate to bring this up, but I really can't see why there is even a debate on this. Do we have any instances of a top mounted BJ from JBA or any other good (not knockoff) aftermarket UCA failing?

Pressed in came loose, the only thing was holding was the snap ring. And that was a Camburg UCA. The receptical in the arm got enlarged and the ball joint can spin freely. I don't see how a bolted in JBA will have that issue. https://youtu.be/Z4m2W-8o9gY

The stock LBJ's on the 95.5-04 tacomas are mounted in this fashion, and have a tendency to fail. I know there is quite a bit more stress on the LBJ. I haven't seen failures on the JBA's, but from my engineering background, bolts in shear are stronger than bolts in tension. JBA likely oversized the bolts as they are in tension.
I have to read through thousands of members spewing shit on this forum, and i bring up something that is, you know, debatable, and you ask why there is a debate on this...
