    Hi Guys,

Planning a trip up to Laurel lakes early September and was wondering if anyone has been up there recently. I know they had an insane winter, so assuming there's some snow still but hopefully melted enough to get up there.

Just want to the to the creek below the lake for some camping and fishing.

    Thanks in advance!

We went up in rzrs on Thursday and it was still VERY unpassable towards the top. The creek is accessible though! 20190717_162053_HDR.jpg

Yeah when I went in May of last year it was the same story...pretty clear up to the 2nd campground area but beyond that a little further up the hill there was so much snow you couldn't even tell that there was a trail there or anywhere beyond it. The lake was still a ways away and there was no way you could get to it past that literal wall of snow. Ended up just having to camp and enjoy the creek/meadow area down below, which was still really beautiful.

Gonna try again later this summer/early fall but with how much snow they got up there this year, who knows

Yeah doubt you'll be able to make it. The smaller lake maybe.

I went on June 30th and the trail was covered with snow about a mile or so from the lake. I thought about plowing through the snow but about 50 yards passed the snow there was a downed tree. It was about a mile or so from the lake.

Anyone know if Laurel lakes trail on national forest land or is it a part of Yosemite national park?
