Probably a good thing I had to work Saturday haha. Just noticed this today after what I thought was pad slap or a bad cv. Something was slapping alright...

I have wheel spacers and noticed two nuts backed off almost as far as it could go. I think this one may be human error- this human. I may have forgotten to hit these with a torque wrench...

oh and Sunday I hauled 2,000lbs of trailer and bush hog for about 150 miles on it...I’ll have nightmares tonight of every time I braked on the way home.

Five out of six ain’t bad- if the others are tightened haha.

Easy to forget. I have noticed that torquing my lugnuts to 80ft/lbs, they really DO need re-torqued after a few hundred miles. I never do that but I noticed when I added a rear leaf last weekend there is no way the lugnuts were 80ft/lbs when I loosened them. I plan to recheck them in the future.

I'm pretty OCD about torquing my lug nuts as well. 83 ft/lbs and I'll re-torque em 2 more times and I'm satisfied.

It can't hurt to check them a 3rd time. I need to make this a new habit.

OTOH, when the tire store does it, they are freakin' tight. That tells me they are over-torqued.... hence Mr. 5 lug above. ;)

If you decided to go the next weekend then let me know. Dylan invited some friends over to his new place he has moved into for the summer so we can’t go this weekend.
