I mean, it seams pretty simple minus replacing the crossmember. SAS would add way more costs, otherwise I would say yes

I mean, idk how that would work. Bolt on seams the easier route

I wouldn’t even compare the two. An sas is an insane amount of fab work and you’re looking at minimum $10k for leaf springs. More for links and COs. Swapping in IFS stuff is 99% bolt on and like $4k tops.

I would weigh it as an option if I was going to convert a truck to 4wd. It’s a better time than any to do it if you ever thought of doing it.

Sooooo you remember those super dirty filters? A week later our AC wasn’t cooling anymore. They came out today and the fan had burned up from working so hard. I wonder why lol

for the record we’re renting and have been here a year so it’s not my fault this got so bad. I offered to clean it though to save my landlords money and it was satisfying

That'll fuck up the fins real quick. I had to go at this with a garden hose and special AC cleaner. Took me an hour to get this thing torn down and cleaned. Shouldn't be nearly as bad next time though.

Yeah. Definitely don't use a power washer. My old neighbor found that out the hard way.

I don't use the pressure itself and just spray with the cover on, basically better than my old cheap leaky hose sprayer...probably should've clarified! Hell I blow the thing after weedeating from the top outward, too.

Best way is shop vac with a brush attachment first. That shit tends to clump when wet so get as much out dry as you can. Then spray the cleaner on and let it sit and rinse from the inside with a high water flow but low pressure to push the shit out in the opposite direction it got sucked in.

In another lifetime I was a Master HVAC tech before I got tired of working for a living. All the refrigerants have changed and I forgot all but the basics in the last 20 years so I am glad my son’s friend from high school went into the trade so I still have someone to do the needed repairs.

You ever tried compressed air to blast it out, from the inside? I was wondering if that would work, or if it would bend the fins.
