Trade Taillights!!!!

Who wants to trade stock taillight shells for tinted ones? I have tinted ones and would like to go back to stock. I tinted them myself with VHT nightshades. They arent perfect but are in good shape.Pm me if anyone in socal is interested!!

Lol there not that dark you wont get pulled over just for them being tinted. He pulled me over for something else and just added it on to be a dick. Plus i live in irvine cops are gay

it's becoming like that almost everywhere. I can barely roll around in my Blazer (finally ordered in shocks and took out the chains), they look for ANY "irregular jiggling" in ANYTHING on wires. Good thing I have a safety kill switch for my set-up. Also it's getting to the end of the yr. holidays are JUST around the corner, so it's that time of the yr. is all I guess.

Have you tried just removing the VHT with paint thinner? Worked for me in the past.

 

i tried paint thinner but it would not come off. what method did you use?

 

I just used a microfiber towel and rubbed it until it came off. It wasn't the quickest, but it worked. I had to polish it with some plastic polish and clearcoat it to get it shiny again though.

I've also heard that Goof Off works really well, but I haven't tried it myself. Another method I've also heard works, is to spray more night shades on and wipe if off while it's still wet. I would think if that worked though, that it would take several coats.

I think paint thinner or Goof Off is your best bet. You can get Goof Off at Home Depot.
