I never mounted the 23zero 72. I decided it wasn't going to fit the way I wanted it to. I sold it and got the roofnest falcon.

I meant the falcon mounted on your shortbed. I thought @Newlife was looking for a 6ft tent on a 5ft bed

I mounted it to the cross bars on the bed rack. It overlaps onto the frontrunner rack but it's got about an inch clearance between the tent and the front rack. I put a rubber gasket there to keep noise down and cushion is when the body flexes. No issues, but it was a bitch to get it right and I actually had to take an angle grinder to my front runner and cut a part of it off.

My aluminum bars for my tent sit on the aluminum cross bars I have from mobtown. Both are slick, so even tightened the tent would slide.

quick fix was to just put some rubber between them. The friction stopped all movement

Have any of you run into this and found a more permanent solution? Was thinking about putting something down on top of my mobtown cross bars. Need it to add friction to stop the aluminum to aluminum sliding, but not so much friction where I can’t unattach the tent and slide it off the back, onto a dolly, for storage.

    Thank you!!

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Not on a hard shell, but here you go. The bed bars are woefully too close together, but I have new bars from BAMF coming.

Oh I wasn’t looking for hard shell. Just a standard. I found a pic of @HomerTaco s setup and I think with the prinsu on my shell it will work. Plus I have a swing out so it won’t look too too bad

Trying to help out @Spare Parts get some skids from Nashville to further North. I would come down to this area to camp/get them and bring further north. Theyre on a long journey.

Well shit kingsports where go to get our kids. I will definitely be up that way in a week or so. Usually on every other weekend. If my gears are broken in by then I can meet you closer your way a little past Kingsport. Or whenever. Where are they now ?

What bars did you order from BAMF? I have his full height bed rack (that I modified a bit)

My tent is 85" long. You can see the overhang in the 2nd picture

They are in Nashville now. Maybe meet along 81 somewhere near the tip of VA ?
