Just pulled the trigger on some 5100s, 1” blocks and some 255/80/17 on 0 offset method mr704s. I’ve searched the threads and found a few photos but would like some first hand experience. My plan is 5th clip and stock springs. However all the photos I’ve seen are with 1.5” aal or ome springs. Near factory rake, which I want to take a little out but not all. Who here has ran this setup on the 6’ bed and has a side shot of the ride height with either 285s or 255s so I can decide 4th or 5th clip. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I spent a while digging through a lot of threads on 255s/skinny’s and bilstein 5100s couldn’t find the shot I wanted though. Level ground from the side. I don’t want it to sit front high, id rather leave it on the 4th clip and drop down .5” if need be. I measured the fenders and I’m right at 1 1/4” of rake now.

If you’re at One and a quarter inch of rake now, and plan to lift the rear 1”, then don’t lift the front more than 2 and a quarter inches.

here is a diagram of the perches:

And this is the third gen section, I just saw you listed a 2003

I know you think you need the 5th notch, but at the 4th notch I was <1/4 rake. (1 inch block in rear). This lasted about a year until springs sagged and aftermarket weight was added. A 1.25” block Rear would be the option I’d go for if you really want that 5th notch.

This is how it sits now. OME leafs rear, full skids, low profile steel bumper with winch, sliders, HC rear bumper. Still on stock front coils and 5100’s. Lol back to factory Rake... I wanted all the weight on before I get new front coil overs. Front is probably an 1.25 lift nowadays on 4th notch.

Alright so first pic is the 1” block and 4th clip. I think I’m gonna do the 5th clip since the long boxes carry more weight on the front struts should sit about nuts on how I want and if the factory springs settle as much as it looks like they did I definitely will want that. Thanks for the info. I found lots of setups close but always quartering pictures or on a slope that made it hard to judge.

Looks like 5th clip is not recommended for your truck. Just a heads up

I have a 2018 DCLB on 5100s. The front is on the 4th setting with a one inch rear block. I run 265/70/17 on the 4Runner Pro wheels. I used a front diff drop and a rear noticeable bearing drop, ECGS clamshell. The truck sits perfect to me with a slight rake, I have noticed no sagging as Im on stock coils as Bilstein recommends. My sons 2018 DCSB is set up the same exact way, identical mods right down to the Clazzios and remote start. Yea I nodded two trucks, anyhow his is set on the 5th setting with a one inch rear block and is dead level. Seeing both trucks side by side its hard to tell which is higher, is not even noticeable at all. I can post pics later if need be.

5100/885 w/ 1/4 lean spacer, Icon RXT w/ B110’s, 255/80/17 FWP, AP Apex Sliders, KDMax 87, ADD W1, BD mirror riser
Buy OME 888 springs for your 5100s and you’ll be a lot happier. Rear lift is a longer story, but 888’s paired with 1” blocks should give you what you want for looks.

I like factory rake so I went with 885’s on my 5100s with ICON RXT springs in setting 2 in back (best $700 I’ve ever spent on one of my Toyota’s.) Running 255/80/17 on 4Runner pro wheels

Edit: I recommend the OME springs with the 5100s if you want to go to the 4th or 5th notch because TRDOR springs are progressive. I ran the stock TRDOR springs with the top setting on one of my prior Tacoma’s and it rode way worse.

4th setting 1.5” front and 1.5” wheelers aal. Ride is great no complaints. 1.25” rake IMO is great it’s a truck. 5E85C9FB-CB05-482E-A15E-8F0596716529.jpgNo sagging on OEM coils
