Glad you are okay. Idiot teenagers do this so me every once in awhile. I ignore them so they’ll stop — even looking up gives them satisfaction and is dangerous for you. But if I see their car later I’ll call it in and let them talk to our local PD.

My previous post seemed lacking, so here is my roof rack with actual bikes on it.
About to head out for a lunch ride with my wife, and yes my doge will be joining in her dog trailer.

You call the cops on them? Lol real tough of you. Let kids be kids. As long as they’re not ramming you off the road.

Maybe you were never taught this, but there is an old saying. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me”

Doesn’t bother me, but it freaks some riders out and they swerve around next to 50mph traffic. Like my wife. And it freaks out my kids even though they are on the sidewalk. If it weren’t a safety issue, I wouldn’t care.

OK, @Bannerman and I struck a deal on drivetrain stuff and I'm hunting locally for a used alloy eagle ring before I drop $30 on a steel one. Should be good to go right as Crest melts out!

Didnt really bother me when they did it. My mistake was watching them when I pulled into the same trailhead area. Been to the trailhead numerous times and there was never a fence up, was just complacent and not paying attention. Road conditions are always changing as well, and I took that for granted.

Figured I should contribute here. Got this Marin Rift Zone C2 right before Covina hit. Hopefully I can get out there this weekend.

question...how do you pronounce the brand name?

MAR-IN like saying MARS, or MARE-IN like MARRIAGE sounds

I had to pretend to do my job for a few mins. That actually looks a lot better than I thought. I'd rock it!

Hahaha it's actually pronounced like Mu-rin. The company was started in Marin County California, I got a sweet deal on the bike because I have a buddy who works for them.

I feel like it sort of gives an ultra-retro feel. Obviously the tires do that on their own, but combo'd with the blue it sort of feels like "grandma's house" in a cool way? if that makes sense. I'll highly consider it for my next set of tires

Yeah. Then again, there's a lot of places that aren't pronounced the way you'd think.

Shelbyville, Ky is super compressed and more along the lines of "Shovel" to the locals.

And don't get me started on my old roommate from Worchester, MA. "Woostah"
