We lost an officer yesterday, and one of my coworkers was wounded.

Yeah, yesterday was not a good day for a lot of my PD friends. Unfortunately, DV calls seem to end poorly in the best case, with this being an all too common scenario. My roommate that works for UPD was already down about her cousin ODing a year ago yesterday, and then this piled on top. Wasn't a lot said at the dinner table last night. If you ever need a Lair-mate to decompress with and drink some mountain dews around a fire, my backyard is always open.

 

Reading that gave me chills. Words can't express how you must feel right now. So all I'll say is, that fucking blows.

 

Yeah, there is definitely a shared bond of brotherhood/sisterhood with those that wear the badge. When one suffers, we all suffer. Whether or not you know the officer personally, you still feel it! This one hits extra close to home because I had fellow comrades directly in the line of fire as well.

Dude, I wish I could share all the details, but can't because they haven't been released publicly yet. It is honestly an officer's worst nightmare...taking rounds through the door without having the chance to see and engage the threat first...it could happen to me or any other officer, on any given day when we are out knocking on doors.

 

This pic giving me all sorts of ideas. Now I want to cut out the cross member up front and build a custom skid plate/front bumper for a better approach angle. Ugh.

 

Is it bad that I actually like the way the entire truck looks?

 

Not at all because that is an extremely sexy truck lol

 

Anyone know a good site for detailed parts diagram break downs? I need a brace for the front end where the top bolt on the skid plate screws into, but I cannot find it on a parts diagram for the life of me.

Got a bigger welding bottle today...390 cubic feet. I had a 60 and just jumped to an 80 and that only lasted me a month. Time to weld ALL the things.

 

I think I have those laying in my garage. You dont reuse them with the BAMF ifs skid. Let me look.

Chrome wheels. You have needed them for some time now. I agree & approve

 

I did the same thing. Refilled the small bottle once every other month, got the big bottle, its been 4 years now somehow.

 

Geez, that’s a long time. I’m hoping to get 6-8 months out of this.
