Perfect. Its a used case and even though I replaced the seals and inspected the bearings, I know nothing so I immediately thought something was cooked.

Also, I figured I would share my floor gasket solution and overall install. Appreciate everyone for all the help.

I used the brackets that moved the shifters out of the way of the stock shifter. I used allen head set screws as they are much smaller then the bolts.

    Its tight

As for the gasket, I made two aluminum pieces that fit the FROR base. The goal is when all assembled these will squeeze the gasket material. I used riv-nuts in the floor to bolt the gasket to seal the floor. I also put a liberal amount of gasket material between the gasket and the floor incase.

And all assembled just waiting on boots for the shifters, and to do the ADD delete install.

Have a few things to adjust with rattling as the shifters fit is tight. Other than my initial worry with the noise, I believe all is good.

looks good. That metal plate you have Sammich in betweeen is what’s causing all your noise. That’s connected directly to the body? Plus as torque is applied the shifters want to move clockwise as viewed from the back of the truck, so that will move shifters in a different spot in the cab.

The metal plate only sit on the tcase and don’t touch the body. It is possible they may make contact but I thought I left enough room (1/4-1/2” if memory serves me). Either way, as long as the noise isn’t something that is in need of immediate attention. Hell may self clearance lol. Was just worried something was internally wrong with the case.

I’m doing this project backwards I know haha but I got the ADD wired up, locker anytime mod done and swapped around the switches for ease of mind, so No one doesn’t press it in accident when reaching for the fog lights, and even wired up the dash lights for the position sensors in the t case. :bananadance:Just need to get this t case installed and fabricate the shifter! Hopefully soon. This quarantine is slowing the process down since I need to go to my buddy’s house to do the install. Here’s some pictures. Also Thanks for everyone who to took the time to help me walked through the questions I had with portions of this swap!

Ya I was thinking that same thing but I just did pre-cut and I was gonna trim what was hitting when shifting through the t case.

Anyone have a part number for the Pre runner blank cover? Where the factory 4wd switch is? I tried looking it up but nothing is popping up. Or any word suggestions to type into google so I can find it? Thanks!

I was able to fit mine in there. May have to grind the plastic back. Easy to cut more vs put it back.

Little this. Little that 4x4 Swap’d PreRunner
Those who did this swap and used RSTs ADD harness:

Im getting a speaker pop after engaging/disengaging when I release the momentary ADD switch. Any idea what this could be? I’m pulling the 12v and grounding on factory fuse panel with an add a fuse and grounding on a nearby bolt.

Apologies. I should have clarified. I’m a prerunner>4x4 swap. Not sure what our trucks share. I don’t have the ECU, would I have the factory fuse slow for it? I believe I tried that and my transmission wouldn’t allow me to shift out of Park. I can double check to make sure.

I see you have an off-road, in which case you would have an ECU to control the locker. Pull from that power, 20 amp fuse. Purple wire under the dash.

I’ll try that as well, thanks! I have an aux blue seas under the hood, I’ll try that if I can’t find which purple wire the power for the locker. I tried to avoid that since the block is all live, I didn’t want the switch to be engaged when the truck was off. Probably just made more work for myself but oh well. Thanks guys!
