Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!
I have a Leer canopy and maybe 100lb of gear in the back, the ride is good for a Tacoma, not plush, not rock-hard.
The springs pair well with the 5100s.
I took my buddy and a few hundred pounds of gear into the mountains for archery elk season.
The roads up there are basalt rock cobble and some sharp ruts, cattle crossings, normal primitive road stuff.
I learned to air down the tires for the cobble...Michelin LTX AT tires are great on the road at 36lbs, but on cobble, it will rattle your fillings out(actually rattled the rear window loose from the cab of the truck, found out when I had a half inch of rainwater under the rear floor mats). 24lb of tire pressure solves most of the vibration and leaves enough for rim protection and no concerns about losing a bead in a truck this weight.
The springs did bottom a few times. I had a cow elk quartered in the back on the way down(WOOHOO!) and could have used a bit more spring rate, but I wouldn't call it desperate.
I drive with my brains in the game...If you drive like you have a SCORE racer, you bought the wrong rig.

Question for ya. I just picked up a set of All pro standard leafs. Im currently running 3" lift shackles with the factory springs. Should i ditch the lift shackles when i put the all pros on? I have a camper shell and about 200 pounds of gear.

Mine are on a 2nd gen, so it may be different from your 1st gen.

I’d try it without the lift shackles first, you may not need them or you may only need 1” lift shackles.

Ah nice. The toytec shackles? I'd set them to the 1" lift height and go from there

3" lift front Bilstien 5100s at 0 with OME 887 coils, Freedom Offroad UCAs, Bilstien 5100 rear shocks, 1.5" lift rear Wheeler's Offroad progressive AAL packs, Airlift helper airbags, N-Fab nerf bars/side steps, all sittin' on Falken 265/75/16s on American Racing 16s
Hey guys I’m running OME887s up front and currently have wheelers 1.5” progressive AAL with the overload springs and I like the ride height but not the ride quality (crappy shocks though)

I am going to replace all of the leaf bushings with poly ones soon and I was wondering if an all-pro leaf pack might be the way to go while I’m under there instead....

I have those freedom off-road UCA and my alignment numbers aren’t terrible but I just purchased some SPC adjustables. Now I’m thinking maybe return them and get leaf packs. What do you all think?

How do all-pro std packs compare to progressive AAL as far as ride quality and lift height goes?

Just purchased some 6112’s for the front... for the rear I am thinking of some 5160’s.... what leaf pack would be good to consider with this combo? Looking to level out... slight lift but with best road feel?

Only running weight on camping trips... maybe 400 lbs in gear.

It’s the daily driver, weekend warrior which is sometimes monthly. Trying to find that balance of best road/off road feel. The snowball has started...

I looked on their website for a 5165 but nothing pops up that fits a Tacoma. Do you know the PN#?

The part numbers Bilstein gave me were 25-242539 and
    25-242379.

With the 6112’s up front this seemed like the best moderately priced setup with room to grow.

Now it’s just a question of what leaf spring can improve the ride even more. Deaver U402 stage one seems good but concerned lift will be too much with no weight. 6112’s can raise the front by 2” at most

I ran the HD Dakars and OME in my previous Tacoma and while they rode a bit stiff (which I don't mind) without a load, they were magical while loaded. I want to do the same but with Bilsteins, unsure of which rears will work best for the application. Quite sure the springs will need more than 1.5" of extra travel. I'll look up those two part numbers.

What leaf pack did you end up going with? I just installed some 6112s and 5160s in the rear and need to lift my rear slightly with new leafs. Looking for some recommendations.

Bilstein/Icon 2" suspension lift with wheelers 5 leaf springs, 7-pin relocate through bumper, bfg KO2s, redline hood struts, immryo mirror relocation, stubby antenna, dipped emblem, heated mirrors, Jason trek cap, led fogs, debadged
I had this leaf pack and regretted ever installing them. I tried many things and couldn't keep them from squeaking, they rusted like hell after about 6 months of non-winter use, I didnt notice any significant increase in load carrying capacity and lift was MAYBE 1/2".

I switched them out for an oem TSB pack with the icon 3-leaf progressive AAL and I couldn't be happier. Improved ride, actually got 2" of lift with my canopy on, and the ride is supple but controlled with about 500lb in the bed. I'm running Bilstein 5100 stock length shocks after blowing up a set of icon VS2.0'S (only lasted 40,000km).

    @TacomaOC714 @rag9836

What leafs did ya'll end up getting? I'm interested in Bilstein 6112/5160 shock setup just not sure about the leafs. Looking for softer ride but plan on running rooftop tent and bumpers in the future.

@AZ Outdoor Adventures Icon rxt leaf pack. Worth every single penny! Cost me like $700-$800. Cant remember. They come with extra leafs in case you ever need to put on a camper or something heavy where you need more leaf springs support.

Thanks for your feedback @TacomaOC714 .

How is the ride quality with Icon RXT leaf pack?
Also, how much lift did you get in the rear with this pack?
Is the ride height pretty level when paired with Bilstein 6112/5160 shocks?

@AZ Outdoor Adventures Ride quality is great. I've taken road dips at 30-45mph and the rear has never been a concern. Id have to measure rear to give you specific numbers. I installed the 6112 fronts at the highest clip and the 5160s on the rear and my front was nose high. It wasn't until I installed the leaf pack that it leveled me out finally. If I had to do it all over again I would have installed everything all at once for that look I wanted. Rxt leaf pack came in like stages 1-3. I keep it in stage 1 because I rarely ever load up my truck bed and dont need the extra leafs. Ive tested it and it's at about 400-450lbs loaded on my bed that the rear starts to dip. I didnt want that ass high rear rake look so I kept it in stage 1. Use stage 2 if you plan on having a heavy load on your rear such as a camper and all that stuff.
