Did some under headlight flush mounts to set the front off a bit and spent the last few days ceramic coating the truck.

I was down to 2mm on the brake pads (original pads with 105k on them) so today I replaced the pads and rotors. I have a set of Goodridge SS brake lines but my 10mm brake wrench was at my other house so I guess they can wait. I will do a full brake system flush at that time.

I always wash the truck by hand, don't trust car wash machines not to scratch the paint, plastic or damage something. Besides, it's the best way to track damage and scratches, etc. It's also therapeutic!

The bikes are super secure, but yeah, short bed life. I scratched up the cab pretty good carrying them with the tailgate closed and no rack. This solution is much better.

Here is 1 photo. After connection to the drain tube, I zipped tied the heater hose to a line that is wrapped in "alum foil". The the heater hose is dropped thru the frame, near the back of the lower control arm. And then out a hole in that same frame. The photo is taken looking toward the front of the truck, with the back of the lower control arm right in front of me. You can see the adjusting cam in the photo. I removed all but 1 of the plastic rivits on the splash cover behind the tire. Needed someone to firmly hold the drain tube while I slipped the heater hose on. Used Lube here. If you don't firmly hold onto the drain tube, with 5/8th heater hose, you are going to simply push the drain tube back into the cab.

Ceramic coating can be a pain for not-new vehicles. I've done a few. Takes a while, but I'd much rather save the money and do it myself. Truck looks good!

Took my awning down after it got caught in the wind on my last camping trip (some pretty serious surprise gusts came through camp and everyone's shade pop ups got pretty thrashed about) and put a 12" long tear through it.

Probably will see if I can patch it but no use keeping it bolted to my rack if I can't use it.

Decided to try something different and upgrade to the Freedom Offroad UCAs.
Can already tell a huge improvement over stock. Only time will tell how they wear. They do have a grease fitting under the dust cap.
These also come with a lifetime guarantee according to the official website.

Tossed on some vinyl to cover up the weld, will keep it like this for awhile until im not lazy and either extend vinyl to wrap around tail light or paint it. Crazy to think this truck was stock and on 31s just a few months back.
