I'm with you on squats. I can leg press heavy and strong back lifts but squats felt unnatural so I stuck with smith machine squats. I bought a safety squat bar before Covid and I must say, squats feels much more comfortable now with the SS bar.

I love a SSB. I bought Titan’s on Black Friday for a good deal and it went on my rack and I never used it until Covid. Pretty much the same story for my entire home gym but now it was a worth while investment...before, it was just an expensive clothes rack

Lol. I have the same one. Got a great deal from a local guy selling off his crapfit gym. Got a rogue 2.0 bar and titan SSB for only $200. I superset DB lunges with SSB squats along with stiff leg DL with single leg curls with one of those cable lat pulldown apparatus you find on Amazon. That cable pulldown purchase was likely the best $55 investment. I went to home depot and made another cable to attach to it to cover it for low pulley exercises.

Tubby over here is down from 311 to 283. I feel fuckin tiny, but I'm still making gains. Nutritionist's plan is to drop to about 270 and hold there before bulking for my next competition.

I would feel a lot worse if I was losing strength, but I've actually added around 5lbs to all my lifts since dropping this weight. I'm gonna feel like a stick at 270 though lol

I am under 230 for the first time in a while but I look good objectively...still doesn't stop me from wondering if my chest/lats/shoulders/etc are waaaaaaaay smaller. fuck.

My state isn’t as retarded as others. They did have to push it back a few weeks later than originally planned.
198lb is a sub class in middleweight with United States strongman Corp

Ahhh I was thinking Strongman Corp. That 231 class in Strongman Corp is super competitive

They have a 200lb sub class as well. But dude, the 231s are fucking insane.

Yep! My nutritionist is a 231 pro. I also live within 30 minutes of arguably the best 231 pro in Strongman, Anthony Fuhrman. Terry Rady is also right down the road. I'm supposed to do some training with him when the gyms are back to normal. Terry is nuts, he hit something like a 400lb log press at under 231 bodyweight and deadlifts 750 at u90kg. He has won u90kg WSM two or three times I think

I’d like to try out one of those bars. Ontop of squatting just not feeling right my shoulder I had worked on starts to hurt under a lot of weight. If I could grab the bar in front of me that would be perfect
