Ah yes. Rainier. The perfect backdrop to stare at for hours as you're stuck on the I-5/parking lot.

You in that tall friggin building at Union Square? I used to drive past that clinic building in the foreground all the time.

Anyone have experience with a 29er L (Kona Mahuna) in the back of their tacoma with the front rail mount? Trying to figure out if the Rockymounts DriveShaft would work for me. I tried a lowball track but that just barely didn't fit the bike enough to close the tailgate.

Yep, a 2019 Force 1 with a bar end shifter (because I hate Sram's brifters), 2020 Fox SC Factory fork, custom frame bag from Rockgeist (absolutely amazing guy, his bags are top tier), Blackburn cages mounted to the fork using King Cage Universal Support Bolts, and Tubus Vega rack.
Hands down my favorite bike I own, incredibly comfortable on any terrain.

Hole in the rim sidewall? How does that happen, or is it a crack?

Damn, is that rim under warranty? I’d imagine that’s either a defect or you’re really unlucky with a rock strike right at the weld

Hole in the rim. Cant tell if its the blown rimtape and then leaking out of a factory hole, or if the whole enchilada ate the back tire as well. I already replaced the front after blowing a spoke and that rim being horribly out of true, likely from the same trip because thats when i noticed it.

Its a rock strike, but not at the weld. Whole rim is full of pock marks.

Salsa has been killing it the last few years with their frames. They are all home runs for anyone but the weight weenies. They are not heavy, just not s-works light.

I’ve dented 3 rear wheels already. So I have not made the switch to carbon for reasons like that.

Thankfully, my wheelbuilder buddy is the kind that wants you to keep your money to soend on his higher ticket products. Reminded me that arc27s have a weep hole and if you blow the rim tape, you get my problem.

Thankfully, i just need to pop the bead and retape it. Now if only I wasnt outta sealant and the bike shop closed.

Seriously, Dusty at Hubsessed is the man.

Thing looks awesome. I’ve been on the edge of getting one and I think this just pushed me over the edge. My LBS has a 2019 they’re blowing out and I think this just pushed me over the edge

I have a lifetime, no questions asked on my Carbon hoops. So I consider them less risk than alloy.
