Yes, $500 upgrade to get LED headlights from the stock truck. They didn't give me both the LED and Halogen lights. If your remove the halogen lights, which cost around $600 and then add $500 for LED lights. That's $1100 for the lights. If you go out and buy LED lights, you will have both LED and Halogens for $1400.

Never did I even remotely say that I blame them. I absolutely knew what I was getting into. When spending $40,000 at their business I do feel as though it is reasonable that they do what they can to try and accommodate what I would like to get done. If it can’t get done then I wouldn’t necessarily hold a grudge. Also, when we’re in the final stages of the sale as a sweetener they said that I could have ANY parts I want at dealer cost. So if you make a promise to get a deal done and then I attempt to hold you to it as you’re trying to back out of it you have brought that on yourself. Asking them to price match what is widely available everywhere else is not too big of an ask either.

What's the dealer cost? Like around $500-600 a headlight? The upgrade cost for both isn't dealer cost for the actual part. They should honor that if they told you that.

Correct. I said charge me $1300 for the headlights and I’m good. Your prior math regarding the cost of the halogens and then the extra $500 in addition is correct by the way especially when you take into account that you’re essentially buying in bulk(a truck) which would account for the couple hundred dollar discount overall.

You should be able to get that shipped on some of those parts sites, they are still running that 10% off plus free shipping if you put in the code family on a lot of them. Just check around at different dealers, some sell cheaper than others through parts.toyota.com. I wanted to get the 2020 pro wheels, but they marked them unavailable. bastards...lol The dealer I usually use has it cheaper than BAM, but you can't order them and they won't rain check the price for when they come back in stock.

Mudguards, 3D tailgate lettering, step bumpers, MESO LED tail lights, front facing camera. Coming soon: LED headlights and SuperCharger.
They told me "Your truck wasn't wired for the LED lights, so we can't even install them for you."

Better option is to get Mike's harness (which I got) and buy the LED lights when the prices drop a tad. I still have the front camera mod to do and add my nerf bars. I'll post when all the work is done. Oh I did buy the LED tail lights too :) Can't wait to get them!

I mean it's true, dealer shops don't want to jerry rig harnesses and not going to search for a harness adaptor that isn't widely available to them much less in their parts catalogs or 3rd party vendors they use in their parts dept.

In this case, I didn't want them to install them for me. I just said match the price they quoted as an option ($500).

    And the answer? "NO!"

You'd think if you bought a new truck they'd be willing to work something out as this makes my 7th new Toyota I bought.

Loyalty means nothing to the almighty $$$.

It's not really a price match, you are asking for at least a whole light for free, maybe if you would of did it before you bought the truck and walked away if they wouldn't do it. You still have the set of headlights on your truck. The $500 isn't the price of both lights, It's the upgrade price of not including the original lights for the LED lights. Dealers don't want to sell the parts you don't want on your truck for new part prices as well. They don't want to deal with used parts period.

Actually they told me that a TRD Sport is not offered with the LEDs unless I go with the WORKS package which would have added over $5000.00 of crap I didn't want (Leather seats, JBL, Navigation, etc). I wanted a nice Sport 4v4 with pretty much everything but the things the top of the line package has.

So I wouldn't have been able to get it anyway, so I am getting it the OTHER way :) Damn expensive lights though. Probably cost them less than $40.00 a piece to make.

In all honesty, others may be able to speak on this better than me but I don’t think the price is going to go down. Very little if at all, ever. I doubt the dealer is going to budge on this issue. If you really want them, bite the bullet and buy them or the Morimotos for $1150. Try to sell your new takeoff lights on craigslist or better yet eBay. Also, I haven’t looked into it at all and there are threads about it but what do you want out of the lights? If you primarily want them for looks which is mainly why I do then there are probably quality alternatives to the Morimotos for $800. Just a guess. I really haven’t looked into it

    I agree.

Want to pay a pretty penny for my stock lights?! :D That'll take the bite off the TRD PRO LED lights I want.

Nope. If you have a TRD then you have the L pattern daytime running lights which I think some people might like to buy off craigslist you should be able to get a decent amount for those I would think

True. I have seen some good condition OEM TRD trim lights only go for $200-300 on BST thread. Might have better luck on Craigslist or local sale platforms.

I sold my TRD sport rims only for $550 on CL 4 years ago. People are trying to sell the same rims with tires for $300-400 now if even that. The sooner the better, there are floods of sells now.
Sell them for what you can but don’t expect but a fraction of oem prices.

Yeah, I think maybe if you sit on them for a couple months while keeping them posted on craigslist and you might be able to get 4

    my phone was listening

so yeah it’s a $500 upgrade but with all the other stuff so would have jumped to $5-$6k for the package unless you had one built.

I had the same deal when I got mine. I just wanted the sunroof but without building one I would have had to get stuff I didn’t care for, bsm, parking assist sensor, dual climate control, jbl was an additional thing I think, leather maybe, Etc.

Not sure if I just got lucky, but I got an OR without the premium package and got LEDs. I refuse to get a moonroof or leather.
