That is 100% normal for trucks that do not have the TSB updates from Toyota. HPTuners will provide you a copy of the newest version of your original tune. You'll also get a message about "your ECU isn't readable.." That's a (IMO) poorly worded message telling you the device is performing a virtual read. That message is also 100% normal. Just click "OK" through those and when prompted to save the file, save it as something you'll remember being your original file.

Once that's saved, email it over and I'll take care of you from there.

    @12TRDTacoma , @snowsk8air2 , @zippsub9 and other spicy boiz.

    Yall want more spice?

SPICY TACO SAUCE BATCH 3 is up!

Changes from Batch 2. Raised upshifts even more across the board by 4ish MPH under 40% throttle input. This should help hold onto gears under light throttle input a little longer before upshifting to the next gear.

Awesome brother, thank you! I wish I could flash it but I have been activated by the state to help aid in keeping this civil unrest at bay.

I'll get back to you on what I think of it as soon as I get back, whenever that is. Lol.

Hey! Perfect time to smog in SJ or Oakland! ;) jk

Be safe my brother. Bunch of hooligians and vandals looking to loot and cause unrest and mock what is "just, right and fair". This isnt the SJ that I grew up in..

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
I gotta get this update into my tune. I do really enjoy the minimal pedal input.
    BREAK

Just got my Dana 60 this weekend, a 9+” ring gear will be nice plus a traction bar as well. I gotta find a driveline shop now to retube a driveshaft.

Who here is using the AEM X-Series wideband and ALSO has it hooked into the CAN bus and logging it with MPVI2 over CAN?

Are you using the OBD2 adapter or did you hardwire it to the CAN-H and CAN-L wires?

Adapter. I already have a AEM AFR gauge mounted and just temporarily added the harness wires. One plug to gauge and another wired to a 12v plug for power. When I'm totally done with the tuning process, I'm just going to take the adapter and harness off and plug back in my original plug for gauge. The kit gives me a spare gauge and O2 sensor

I’m trying to hardwire mine and want to make sure I’m hooking the CAN-H and CAN-L wires correctly. I ordered the one without the adapter because I don’t want the extra dongle hanging off.

When you add the channel to VCM Scanner, do you select one from the AEM section? I see there are 8 of them listed and I don’t get any action on any of them when logging.

Sorry, I'm not well versed in this. I looked at a bunch of vids online then made the decision to go this route as it seemed the easiest and fastest way to get the data to Justin.
As a side note, I contacted AEM to see if they sell the passthrough adapter/cable to make this work. They don't so I bought a the new set, part num: 30-0334. I can always use the spare 02 sensor when my original craps out. Also, I've been looking into the benefits of having AFR gauges and 02 sensors on both banks. Might go this route with a new Y pipe from Roost.
