MSRP $44,553, not including $1750 rebate as I'd be going for 0% apr. The only caveat is that they said they need to do a dealer swap to get it so it's not set in stone 100% yet. Yeah I'll definitely read the fine print when signing...thanks for the advice!

Alright, I'm going to weigh in on this "price to be paid" thread. It's in the middle of a pandemic, and 2020's haven't been moving in the SE (at least). I ordered up a Mag Grey 2020 TRD DCSB 4x4 with Tech Package and received almost 5.5K off MSRP. 41K down to 35K+ (OTD). Of course, I have a history with them. Don't have the option list in front of me (or the rebates, options, etc.). But I know when I went to the Gatorland dealership there was a boatload of Taco's (at least 15) on the lot. They need to move the 2020's pretty damn quick. Now's the time to put the dealerships to task and get your best deal. FYI. They were so desperate that they even swapped the Century cap from my 2017 Taco to the 2020 for no cost.

Not sure where you are, but in Southern California the lots have hardly any trucks to choose from.

Depending on what you paid for the warranty and all that, you should check out this thread and just search for more threads on warranties.https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...are-platinum-zero-deductible-warranty.646125/
You can definitely still cancel the warranty and can buy one at any time up until the three years 36,000 miles at the factory bumper to bumper warranty runs out. You can buy a warranty from any Toyota dealership. Some sell them for cheap like mentioned in the linked thread.

I’m assuming gator land is Florida. It would be good If you could post your actual numbers. MSRP-selling price before tax title tags etc.=Discount
Many in Florida were previously saying that the Florida market was tough but I believe they were in the Tampa and west palm areas which might be different.

The unofficial word is many if not all of the incentives are going away in the SoCal region. My buddy said there is a huge glut of car inventory that Toyota wants to focus on, so incentives will be re-directed to promote those sales. Contrary to what many and even some on this forum believed, Tacoma sales didn't necessarily crater. Virtually all well optioned TRD-Off Road 4x4's are sold out in the SoCal region and few dealerships with stock are marking up inventory $2-3k, models that were regularly discounted 9-11% a mere two months ago.

Been wondering how Toyota would alter their incentives on the Tacoma given that anecdotally it appears that the truck segment continues to sell well. How much of that was due to 0% financing has been my question, and if they remove that incentive I'm guessing we'll find out. I started looking at Tacoma's last year, and once the 2020 model upgrades were announced I decided that I'd focus on a 2020.

I'm in the market for a Sport AC with MT and LED headlights at a minimum, and I'm ok with the Sport package as well (heated seats, dual HVAC). I'd estimate the AC is the least desirable build, however on my CarGuru search on May 5 there were 84 AC's w MT within 500 miles of my home zip code. Today there are 46 so they are definitely moving them off the lots. I don't need my truck now and can afford to be patient so I'm targeting Fall once the factory starts resupplying the lots, and maybe even wait until the 2021's start to trickle out.

Really quite an interesting time, something that will make for a wonderful case study in future Econ 101 textbooks.

I will look into that! I had to get ripped off, wouldn't be a dealership after all...

A little more context, in Bay Area, called 10 dealerships, 2 had access cab in 4wd and basically no other Tacoma, shortage in California. Local dealership had 1 in 4wd in the color I wanted, and 3 people test drove it that morning, 0 bargain power. It's my first car and I had literally never been dealership before...

    2020 Access Cab 2.4L selling price - $28175
    84Mos/75000 Miles Service cost - $2650
    50Mos/55000 Miles Maintenance - $1125
Kahu tracker transfer - $600 (totally made up cost I'm sure).
So total out the door with license/registration/California tire fee/kahu tracker transfer/document processing fee (lol)/Electronic transfer fee + taxes was $35000...

2 different offers below. I want the cheaper one (SR5), but dealership is waiting to get it from a different dealership in my area. The options on the sport are nice to have, but not a big draw for me. How is resale typically on the higher optioned tacomas? I'm first time buyer here, but I figured the cheaper one will retain more of it's cost, so if anyone has insight on that I would appreciate it.

    Where: southeast MA
    Window sticker: $39,250
Paid: $35,250 before TTL (less $15,750 for my trade, which was a 2015 SR5 4cyl 5 speed. The $15,750 includes a $1000 rebate. This was about $1000 above KBB pre-coronavirus, now it's about $3000 over)

This took a lot of work. I got a similar deal last time I bought here, but it was a whole lot easier... I went straight to the internet sales manager and he just sent me bottom line pricing, and it was good enough that I just went and bought it. This time around I got stonewalled asking for pricing via email and had to ask repeatedly for the internet sales manager and finally got there in the end, and again he just sent me bottom line pricing and we did the deal.

A few caveats: this was right as the coronavirus was descending, but before everything was completely closed. The dealership was a ghost town, they were already laying people off, and they wanted to move a unit. Also, I let them feel like they were making some money on the 6 year financing deal, which I then paid off the following week. While I realize this probably dings them, we're not best buddies and there were some shenanigans involved on their end that motivated me to just write the check rather than wait the 6 months so they could get their cut. Anyway, fwiw, that's what I paid.

I would take the SR5 since the options on the Sport aren't a big draw for you. The SR5 is slightly a better deal than the Sport also. The 4k difference between the two is money that could be spent elsewhere or on the SR5 for mods you really want.
Plus silver is better than black IMO........ :crapstorm:

Is service the warranty? If so, that doesn’t sound that bad if you don’t put many miles on it. Not sure.
The oil gets changed every 10,000 miles. I think it’s two years 25,000 miles for free. If you’re paying $1100 for three oil changes I would definitely go back and cancel that. it’s like buying anything you have 30 days to return it if you don’t like the product. I think

Two different ball parks. If you want that SR5 deal, just call the dealerships within 100 miles of you and you’ll find it elsewhere. They’re both fairly good deals though

    New member here!

Just bought my first Tacoma :woot:

From SoCal and it was difficult finding my Tacoma. I used the dealership finder and emailed every Toyota dealership within a 50mi radius to find a 2020 Tacoma TRD OR 4x4 MT with the Adv Tech Pack, LED Headlights, & TRD Premium option.

SoCal seems to be really low on Tacomas. Granted I waited to the end of the 0% APR incentive.

With Costco Auto I purchased my White Tacoma for $43,554.45. Probably not the best deal, but I'm just happy I got the truck in the exact spec I wanted without any extra stuff I didn't want.
    1. MSRP-$35,355
    2. Adv Tech-$1,670
    3. LED-$485
    4. TRD Premium-$3,645
    5. All-Weather-$248
    6. TOTAL-$42,503
    7. $39,363 Before Tax
So I saved $3,140 with Costco Auto(Not too bad I think considering low inventory in SoCal)

I wouldn't think its such a bad deal at all considering the already super low inventory out in Socal. Just to compare, your price point ain't so bad. I basically have the same package (White, 4x4 Premium OR) as you minus the MT and adv tech package for $42,891.80 in Oklahoma. Most importantly you got what you wanted and at 0% apr, congrats on your new ride!
