I'm looking at some 17" 4Runner wheels this afternoon.

 

Loaded up for the lake trip tomorrow.

 

Couple of things going on:

1: I picked up some 2" heavy duty adhesive-backed velcro and lined every-other gap in the plastic material on the back seats with it. Then I measured and cut a cheap yoga mat from Ebay (closest to Cavalry Blue I could find) to fit the plastic on the back seats. Applied the velcro to itself, peeled off the tape, laid down the pre-cut mat, and now nothing moves back there. That was about 2 weeks ago.

Today I put in an order for a CX HD cap in cavalry blue. Sliding windoors, sliding front door, single T handle, carpet liner, and roof rack tracks. I'm excited, 6-8 weeks seems like a long ways away.

In the interim I'm looking at capping off my Kicker-6 speaker upgrade with the 4-way 50w hideaway amp that fits behind the Entune head unit, and maybe the Kicker 10" hideaway under the passenger seat.

I've sound-deadened all the doors, but still have to do behind the backseats. I've got Noico wrap and mass-loaded vinyl on the way for that.

I'm also looking into removing the plastic cubbies behind the seats permanently and adding MOLLE webbing and pouches for tool storage.

Picked up today:

 

After much hemming and hawing, took off the Snugtop Rebel associated Prinsu Rack. Recently got back into dirt bike riding and taking it off and putting it back on every weekend was too much. Anyone have recs for a tonneau cover that can fold completely out of the way?

 

Did that TRD logo come red or did you paint it?

 

It’s a red one from Toyota ... I believe it’s from the 4 Runner

I got the topper rails flipped around. I plan to install Prinsu top rack on there either today or tomorrow.

 

Had to get the new wheels dirty. Quick overnight trip to the lake. Woke up to thunder this morning which is always fun in a RTT.

 

Toyota Dealership have them. You can go in the accessories room in the dealer showroom. If they don't have 17 in stock, they can get them delivered to your local dealership and have them install for you or you pick them up.

I went to my dealer about 2 years ago and I asked about TRD wheels for my truck which my truck has stock 17" wheels... They gave me a quote of $2k+ for 4Runner TRD wheels and BFG A/T tires. I think that quote includes the balancing/alignment. I haven't got them yet but planning to do so someday. I want to have other mods done first then I will have wheels and tires done.
