Hahahaha, nope, 4Runner is safe and secure in the hangar. Wife has a nice new 2020 Camry XSE to play in.

Question on step 10– “until no more air is coming out of the bleed tube”
Will we see air pockets among the fluid coming out the tube initially while it still needs to bleed? If so, we’ll know we’re done with this process when ONLY liquid comes out the bleed valve with 5 full presses, correct? In other words it’ll be a very steady stream? Something my 78 year old dad would envy...?

Good point, but my '19 has 5,000 miles on it. The fluid looked perfect. I think it's fine in this case.

OP can you confirm what specific fluid we should use for this?

    Cool - thanks.

@Trident904 just to confirm, this is the bleeder valve circled in red, right?

Thank you so much for the revised instructions, OP, this makes me far more confident I can pull this off.

Rough time estimate of 1 hour for someone with no prior experience?
^^ Just read an older post suggesting 1-2 hours so I'm guessing best for me to budget 2-3.

Did you leave the bolts off after removing the accumulator or did you return them to their original locations? I'm guessing leave them off as water infiltration isn't a concern?

Also safe to assume a dealership isn't going to get cranky about this mod since its so stealth?

I've been in for several services since then, just regularly scheduled stuff. The dealership has yet to notice or say anything to me.

They won’t notice at all, and the heat shield will fit over the line as well. 99.3% of the techs have no clue what they’re looking at without a diagram in front of them anyway.

8 kits left. Unless something drastically changes, I will not be making these for the next year. Get em before you can’t!
