Very nice. Same is happening here. Forest opened up 4/30 and they just started the fire ban yesterday. All of the developed campsites are closed leaving the masses to venture further than they should. What a shitty camping year...and mostly everything year.

Given the shit I saw today...I can't blame them. Two groups of people were camping in places that were clearly marked as closed (one spot had a goddamn fence) and each one of them had open fires. There was a guy trying to go up the very narrow trail with his fancy-ass off-road RV that was as big as a house. Then there was the 4-wheeler that had gone off the trail and with two jeeps blocking the trail to winch the damn thing up. It was on the easiest stretch of an already very easy trail...only one way that coulda happened. Oh, and people going off-trail on purpose. Oh, and the line of vehicles that stopped on the trail for a fucking photo op while ignoring others honking and yelling at them. Then there were people shooting in areas marked as no-shooting areas. Oh, and people going off-trail to make room when they could have just backed up a little. And side-by sides and dirtbikes not letting people know how many more there were and passing dangerously.

Oh, and people with their dogs off-leash spots that clearly called for leashed dogs. And the hippies living...you know what, fuck it. I'm gonna go find a riot.

Only if he was north of I70. I was in the Boulder/Ward/Nederland area. He would have recognized me either by the truck or the unintelligible screaming and excessive middle-finger waving.
