There are alternative solutions which are 1000% plug and pray.

If I do wind up needing injectors I know exactly where to get them from and they are custom units for a great price.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I may actually revert back to a larger pulley after this fueling debacle is all said and done. I swapped on @findingthingsout 's 2.8 pulley and took it for a drive. Wow. This thing pulls notably harder than the 2.3 ever has. I build up freeway speeds scary fast. I don't know if it's a collective of all of my mods I'm running (NST pulleys, cam gears, TRD hybrid intake, and all of the other little things) but oh my god this thing was pulling like a freight train all while making much less whine noise, which I'm not even mad about.

Anyways... more to come soon after @JustDSM takes a look at the log, but AFR's seemed much happier. Even that weird pause at take off I had going on for some time now is magically gone now.

I am quite curious what the charge air post cooler temps were with your pulley.

 

I've been having top end fueling issues due to either mechanical issues (as in I could be potentially spinning the blower too fast for things to be capable of keeping up) or software issues. I have been methodically returning things to as near stock as I can at the current moment and I switched from the 2.3 pulley back a near OE size 2.8 and flashed in a neutered TRD base tune provided by Justin. To see if fueling issues lies due to the blower spinning too fast or if it's the PCM.

I got an unexpectedly huge bump in power just by switching back..

Of course that may be due to the fact that the 2.3 tune was running on near zero timing. So..

I wish I could tell you, but I am also running water wetter and water mix in the intercooler now, so there's that as well.

Hey man, I can't argue with the butt dyno, but the truck has not run this smooth all around in so long, so I really think that it may actually be the way to go.

Shrink pulleys that need to be shrunk, lighten them, install cam gears for a better burn, install Rutheniums, and open up the intake and exhaust to breathe better. Enable increased throttle values at take off and flash in Habanero Ghost Pepper Carolina Reaper tranny tune and you would be surprised how zippy this thing is now.

It's surprising how simple the theory behind this modding is.

I am going to have to refer back to the MP90 efficiency map and get a pulley that brings its RPM range to peak performance after this issue is all over and resolved.. I don't think 2.3 is in the cards for me anymore though. As usual, all of this is pending the word of Justin, but so far I can't argue with the MAD passing power I have right now.

 

So a friend of mine had a twin charged ctsv that should have made hella power and didn't. They contributed the low results to cavitation. They remove the supercharger and left the turbo and went from 1200hp to maxing out a 2000hp dyno. Maybe something similar? But like you said to, if you have no advance that could be the problem as well.

But i want to recall that one of your impressions of the truck was earlier this week. Maybe it was an update with the new plugs. I remember thinking to myself....wow, it's the hottest day of the year and Roberto said his truck is running great!

And if its compared to today...and impressions felt today, there was easily a 15-20deg swing in ambient temp between the two days.

I think it was mid 90s on Monday in Sunnyvale.
It barely hit 70s today. I'm guessing Concord was similar or not a tad warmer?

My truck feels noticeably different between that temp variation.

I'm super curious with the possible cause..

 

That's a good point... cold air = dense air = more boost = more power.

 

reason i posted a video. how do our trucks compare? that was rolling start to 80mph in 4th. just trying to give you refeference points.

 

Dude it was ugly out today. It was hot and raining at the same time today. By all accounts it felt like it does on a Florida day. I remember when I used to run a 2.8 pulley I was seeing boost levels of about 7.5 - 8.5 psi. I was watching my boost levels today while giving the blue turd some juice and I noticed that boost levels actually have dropped to an average of about 6.7 - 7.5 psi. That drop alone tells me that I used to be restricted and I have opened things up so much to the point now where it has made a positive impact on overall power levels.

It's not weather related, but what may be helping some is the fact that I am also running water wetter and water on the engine coolant side and on the supercharger intercooler now also.

It really wasn't that cold today, it was about 75 here and on the day where my truck was running awesome it was about 90 out..
