I bought one of those last year for the first time for my axes. Still file them first then clean them up with it instead of stoning like I used to. Actually works very well, slicker than owl shit.

Yep all the time for the son. Packages from Costco I posted on the previous page are Ribeyes and Top Sirloin for him.

He doesn't like fatty meat o_O and likes it well done o_O o_O So Top Sirloin works for him and is cheaper. It isn't bad once in awhile IMO especially if it is Prime grade. For leftovers having less fat is usually better warmed up than fatty cuts. Steak and eggs, on salads, or just sliced thin cold with cheese. I cook it just like any other steak.

Did one for him tonight and a ribeye for me.

    ribeye.jpg

With a side of bacon, onions and mushrooms. And some butter thrown in while I cooked it down.

Top sirloin is fantastic, especially with the cap what some call Picanha. Arguably one of the best cuts of steak.

Picanha is hard to find around here. About the best can do is once in awhile Costco has Top Sirloin cap on.

Top Sirloin - Cap Off (means the cap has been removed, it is just top sirloin)

But they still cut most of the cap off even though it says cap on :annoyed:

Lebre coarse sea salt is what helps make Picanha what it is.

    Lebre sea salt.jpg

And is really salty even though you knock the crust off and don't put it on until right before you grill it. Does a lot of arching and sparking while it cooks. :D

Might need to clean the grease off the phone sooner than later :anonymous:

    salted ribeye plated.jpg

Was surprised got most of the 5 pounds of bacon on one rack. Had the stacker in standby but didn't need it.

    bacon.jpg

Should get me by for a few days...
