Wonder if they are going to keep their cards to the mid tier or if they will offer something that will compete with Nvidia's top cards

I think they’re going to have something to compete in the high end range

For anyone processor shopping you may want to wait a month. AMD is supposedly coming out with a Zen 2+ variant of the 3600X, 3800X, and 3900X. They'll be called XT versions of those product models (ie 3900XT) and the leaked benchmarks show them holding 4.6 GHz across all cores. With AMD having better IPC than Intel, the leaks basically show AMD pulling ahead even in gaming with these variants. Announcement date is supposedly mid June. It'll probably also make the normal X variants even cheaper.

Thanks for that heads up. Been wanting to rebuild but in the process of moving so its been delayed yet again. Maybe once settled in, this might be a decent route.

Got 4 arctic p12 fans installed tonight, 2 intake and 2 exhaust. The computer is dead silent now for regular browsing and such as I didn’t get to test it out with any gaming yet. I will never have 3 pin fans in my case again. I never thought I’d enjoy building/tinkering with computers.

I actually like the colors, but I didn’t want to pay $120 for 4 fans at this point. Especially since the Arctic’s perform so well compared to the more expensive fans

I was hearing a noise from my computer last night that I hadn’t heard before. Turns out it was the hard drive that I had never heard until now due to fan noise :anonymous:

I’m on the fence for doing the new windows update

Hard drives are pretty quiet these days. Even with less fan noise, I might be concerned if I could suddenly hear it.

I only hear it when call of duty is loading up as I have it stored on the hard drive. Other than that I never hear it

It's amazing what you can hear when your computer doesn't sound like rocks in a tornado.

The chief complaint I have with my current build is fan noise. I didn't exactly go cheap with the case fans, but not the best, either.

Yep, back that thing up now. You should only ever hear a mild chirp when it spins up, or nothing at all if it is solid state.

After doing some research, it’s the normal noise of the hard drive starting up apparently. I found my exact hard drive noise on YouTube so it’s no big deal. I am planning on replacing with an m.2 at some point.
