    Yep. I totally agree!
    Some of the guys at work talk about all the stuff they are gonna do when they retire. I don't argue with them. Perhaps they will go and do all these things. I can't wait for that. I feel I have to get some things done, some experiences had, before I am no longer able.
    You only get a specific number of camping trips, of fishing charters, of road trips. Nobody knows what those numbers are, but the fact remains.
    Get out and live.

    My dad worked until he was 72. He passed away at 76. Fortunately for him, he loved what he did, and he certainly had some amazing experiences, but I'd be lying if I didn't think he was just getting started on being retired.

    Theres certainly a limit of ableness. When I went to Alaska, I would have loved to take him along because he had always wanted to drive the ALCAN highway, but that would have been a bad idea at the time. He did take a lot of joy from watching my inreach logs though.

    Being aware of your Father's situation and watching him pass too early probably strengthens your desire to get your life experiences happening. It sucks he passed too early, but it probably gave you focus about you.
