I just completed the install. I think it took me closer to 5 hours, but anyways they’re in and work great! Most challenging part for me, was fishing the wires through the door boot. I ended up using a large zap strap to fish through first, then used it to pull the wire through.

Only complaint is that the switch that it comes with is too small to fit the holes to the left of the steering wheel. It would fit below the touch screen but I want it over here where the other light control is....

Yup... I'm in the same boat. Don't have the rock lights yet, but plan to wire everything up at once (DSIM, Puddle Pods, both switches).

Do you want the Meso switch to control the rock lights as well? If no, then you are good. If yes, move the switch up to the first connector by the A-pillar harness.

I was going to have a separate switch for the rock lights, but it's nice to know this is an option... THANKS!!!

Thanks for the heads up. I got my order in! Can’t wait to install them. Without the switch kit how long do they stay on. And is there another way to turn them on? Just unlock doors again or open the door?

if I get the switch kit and want to have rock lights and puddle pods on the Same switch and with the dome. Do I need the dsim kit? Or can I wire the rock lights and the puddle pods in with just the puddle pod button kit.

Anyone have their lights continuously turn on and off? I've seen this happen occasionally even when I'm pretty sure my key is out of range (>20 feet). Doesn't matter if the door is locked or unlocked.

You won’t need the DSIM kit if you don’t exceed the amp draw of the dome circuit. I think that’s 7.5 amps (sorry, don’t know off the top of my head). You should also have 20% cushion for safety, so I wouldn’t go over 6 amps. If you do use the DSIM module, you’ll want to just have it activate an additional relay that can handle the rock light load. Also be aware that the lights controlled by the DSIM module will not have the fade on and off effect of puddle pods. So it’s going to come down to how many amps your rock lights draw. I am in the planning phase on mine still, but plan on using the DSIM module and am just adding lights underneath to come on and off with the puddle pods. I love the Meso puddle lights, but want more light that illuminates the ground outside the door when the door is open. I also plan on using a separate dimmer controller to have the lights dim on and off. Hope this helps

Awesome info. Trying to figure out where i'm gonna fit another small switch. might have to go overhead. Is the small meso switch a rocker style switch? if i use the Meso switch and the dsim will the single switch still be able to control both the puddle lights and the rock lights? which style dimmer are you gonna go with. also, about what color temp are these puddle lights to try and match them up to a set of rock lights?

This is basically what I want to achieve. Meso switch controlling puddle and rock lights with dsim. so by moving the switch up in front of the dsim i can still have rock lights comming off the dsim on a relay but controlled with the meso switch?
