When will the cables be back in stock?

I know very little about tuning but if I read correctly I will need:

    > A laptop
    > VfTuning software
    > The 3.5 tune pack
    > Cable

Is there anything I'm missing? I'm ready to buy as soon as I can get a cable. I have a constant extra load of about 500 lbs divided between the bed and the cab and pretty much have to drive around constantly in ECT mode. The better standard transmission tune as well as gear lock in manual mode is highly appealing to me.

    Well said.

Most members here lack the most basic understanding of what tuning and testing entails.

It's no different than software, which normally has many issues upon release unless the code it's properly and thoroughly tested many times.

Usually those who rush the job release a product that has many bugs that needs later patches but those companies who delay the product, even multiple times, tend to have an issue free launch and superior quality.

Yes, maybe the etas can be way off sometimes, but it's for a good reason and that's why not giving them it's perhaps a better idea. Regardless, anyone here complaining should try to understand the process of releases an issue and bug free product before complaining.

@OVTune should at least rest assured that most of the members here are understanding besides a few impatient trolls.

When you see the release post.

I just drove 5,000 miles in 8 days and I gotta tell you that Gear Lock is a life saver, without it I would have gone mad with the transmission jumping back and forth all the time. Its great in the mountains and best of all, thanks to one dude on this forum I learned that if you long press the cruise control button it disables the radar then you have gear lock and cruise control which lets you select a gear you want and it will hold speed in that gear :D :plane:

That’s awesome info Matt! So the Start up issue is fixed? I don’t recall seeing a test tune with a fix.

I Can’t wait to Finally have a solid 5.29 tune with Gear lock.

When I bought OVtune their was no 5.29 tune avail. So I bought when I heard there was one in the works with 2.0. The current 04b31 5.29 tune isn’t safe for me to drive on, but I’ve been pretty satisfied with the 4.88 tune I’ve been running and even if 2.0 never came I’d be happy with what I have now.

    Keep up the good work.

I’m running 2.0 beta (04B81) my truck runs great now. The only issue is an early 3-4 shift which I can fix by using ECT mode. I’m getting roughly 2 MPG better than before, and much better pedal response/low end torque
