Welp I managed to get one coilover rebuilt and recharged today, but came up missing the piston/internal retaining clip for the 2nd one which I didn't realize until after I filled it with shock oil. Just one more part added to my next order from SDHQ with all new spherical joints and TC UCA/LCA bushings and uniballs. That reminds me, I need to add ubolts to that list and finally fix the cali-style prerunner lift I got going on.

 

When are your uniballs going to be here? Install party?

 

Well probably a week or so after I order them. Haven't gotten that far yet. I bought a tool box and other non essential stuff first...


Sdhq's shipping is at best, without paying for expedited/2 day, but atleast they can get me what I need and can return emails promptly so they get my business.

That's alright, after looking at some of the pictures I'm sure I would have been in worse shape than a broken brake line.

Honestly tire size was the biggest advantage of the day. Only used my front locker once to swing around and pivot on my sliders. I forgot how capable stock rigs+tires were. It was impressive some of the stuff it was able to do with tire placement and patience

Interesting... According to home depot, I purchased a $150.03 2pk of Milwaukee Phillips bits, and not a husky tool box...

I'm thinking it's so I don't take the receipt and go around conning other stores to price match...

 

It was a little tight in spots but yeah sliders are a must in my opinion and get the kick out or ones that run all the way back to help pop around to the tire. mine need an extra 4-5 inches i think But mostly did their job today. For being mostly stock @Dirk Diggler truck did great and we had some good spotting From @Usethe2nd. use of traction boards and the hilift helped get my tires straight in spots and having quick access to the straps and shackles made things work out. My big fat ass with no locker got stuck on that rock spot but working through it with Drew was fun using all the recovery gear we had available as there was really no winch spot. Lots of fun and trail lessons learned today. Good times boys and great to meet you.

 

Nice man any good trails out there open up yet?

 

Definitely haha what’s the recommendation front and rear air? Just rear and dual ARB compressor?
