Personally I wouldn't do it on the racks that are over the cab, they sit wayyyy to "low", if you were to add any extra weight it makes one or two of the bars hit the roof of your truck.

I had super bad vibes as well and they got me sorted out (added a "brace" to beef up the cross member). My problem was that one of the crossbars was vibrating to the point where it sounded like bass in the car and vibrated my mirrors. Took a week or two of emailing and they finally got me sorted out. If you tape the very first and second crossmember together and it goes away then you probably have the same problem as I did. First as in front of the truck.

Nah, looking to do it over the cap of the bed. Spare is full size in the bed of my truck currently. Looking to put it at the rear of the truck with extra support or a rubber bump stop under to prevent that extra weight pushing down.

Sounds like you need a rear bumper with tire swing

    Quick question,
I just got an UPTOP Bravo roofrack myself. Do you get any wind noise? Like loud howling sound especially when the wind hits from the side. I get this super loud howling everytime. Head wind is okay but when the side wind comes thru, it get very anoying. Just want to know if other people got the same issue. Thanks

Hi all. I have had my bravo installed for a month and it whistles at surface street speeds (20-45 mph). Any suggestions. Maybe I need to tilt the wind deflector or something?

I got the same issue i did a lot of testing. Taping the holes and wrapping bungee chord around the side back and front. I narrowed it down to the front of the rack. The howl stopped but my rack looks a bit ridiculous. In in touch with UPtop guys asking them for solutions. So far this is what i got until i pinpoint the problem. Hope this helps you out.

That's really weird. Not sure how wrapping a bungee around it would stop the noise. Have you tried adjusting your light bar?

That would imply vibration... agree with adjusting the light bar - even just to see if the tone changes

Right after I put my rack on, I was worried it fell off it was so quiet. I'm running a 40" S8 bar. Now when there's a strong cross-wind I can hear it, but to quote Micah, I have a lot of shit on my rack.

I was driving yesterday and had to stop and check for the same thing because it was so quiet. I expected a loud howl seeing how the light bar is on back order, but I can’t hear it at all.

i had no lightbar for a week and it had noise. I added the lightbar to see if it did anything differently, still had noise, changed the angle of light bar and tightened all screws. Still howled.. and finally wrapped it up with bungee chord.. and it stopped. Still trying to pin point the problem.. i know it can be fixed.. just need to find and adjust.. i had thule roof racks on my car and wrapping the front with bungee chord took out the noise so i did it with this and that worked also.
