Took me mum our for a small trail bop yesterday. Family time has been rough with this whole covid thing going on. We have lots of healthy / elderly in our family that we have to pay concern to.

She seemed to enjoy herself though. Happy Monday everyone

This is what happens when the Mayor thinks a sternly worded press release will keep everyone in line...I'm just wondering...were there groups of more than 10 out rioting? Because that goes directly against the states lock down restriction...I know you can get arrested for using an elliptical at a gym in Massachusetts...hmmmm....

    Morning all, happy Monday...

Got my boat part on Saturday, but yesterday we had 30mph gusts and the lake had 2 foot whitecaps. Not an ideal testing scenario, so still no maiden voyage for the SS Fun Betty this year. Maybe after work tonight.

Should be as easy as pruning back the dead to the nearest 'live' wood junction.
It hasn't sent out any leaves yet?

Yeah, windy yesterday is right. I took my boat out of Hampton Harbor yesterday hoping to hit the haddock run that is hot right now. What a mistake. 8 footers out there for sure. Took me 5 hours to get the 8 miles back to the harbor, white knuckle and taking water over the bow the whole way.

Then I get home and the mulch factory right behind my house is on fire. 3 alarm building with a 2 alarm brush. I never knew there were so many fire trucks in the entire southern NH. I saw at least 10 from Henniker, and then 2 hours of trucks screaming by from Hillsborough, Weare, Deering, Bradford, Antrim, Stoddard, Newbury and all sorts of helicopters. Power went out while rinsing the boat. Thankfully the wind was going the other direction or I imagine I'd have been in trouble.

So an entire day of absolute stress!

There was a mulch fire...can't remember where, years ago now. It is bad. High combustion and hard to extinguish, high heat too. They were just cycling FFs doing the hose, they'd come off for half hour, get water, and then go back -- they'd get dehydrated that quickly. Mulch is not pretty when it's on fire :p

That a-ways you also have smaller crews too, so what used to be a 2 alarm was basically a second department, 10 FF/2 trucks is now 4&1 truck, etc. Plus specialty support. When Andover was going bonkers a few years back with the gas line stuff, Providence RI actually provided support -- because we have a water/sustenance unit in Providence, so even though it's "wow that's far away", it was close due to the specialty support.

I always do the furthest forward one in the boxed section first, reach in with the washer and then the nut and just keep the nut in place and turn the head of the bolt. Then I take the open end of the correct wrench size and a ratchet on the outside and tighten them up. Its a pain but it works. The brake lines can also be a pain, but you can move them just don't pinch them anywhere

Got my closing disclosure today. Even better, since it's a bi-weekly mortgage it's actually 13-1/2 years instead of 15. I'm shaving 8-1/2 years off of what I have now so I'll have the house paid off when I'm 42 assuming I don't sell before then!
