A little bit of rub has me yearning for a cab mount relocate kit

(I also have to beat the pinch weld more on the driver side)

There’s still plenty of meat on that cab mount! You could have it cut more and salvage it. Even I’m still on my factory cab mount.....barely

I’m just not a fan of the relocation kits available. I’ve heard the alpine one causes a clunking, plus there’s barely any weld holding that thing on the frame. That’s why I wanted to keep mine if I could.

:notsure: Not sure, just saw a few people mention that. It was enough to turn me off of it for now since I don’t need to replace my mounts, yet.

One's expected before install and a part of the design, one's not. Plus I bought the "street-friendly" locker which really means nothing and it's still noisy lol

Went on a ride to test the rack prototype. This style would work with fork mount racks, but I need to offset the mount a bit if I want to have a rack that keeps the front wheel on and have access to the rear doors

Spent yesterday mountain biking and hiking. Wrapped up at our cabin with a campfire complete with burgers and hot dogs!

I was just going to recommend that haha pb blaster works great in there. It's just a bandaid, and the intermediate shaft should be replaced anyways, but this will buy you time. Mine after being replaced.

damn so could that be why no matter what I’ve had a bit of a steering wheel shake? I mean over 3 sets of wheels and tires all balanced and stuff.

could you do the U Joint or does the whole shaft need to be replaced?

As in you're driving down the road and the steering wheel shakes in your hand? This wouldn't cause that. My symptom was slack in the steering wheel. Meaning while parked and truck off, I could wiggle the steering wheel back and forth about an inch. Same with driving down the highway.

I think some people on here have DIY'd using an ATV u joint in there, but for something as critical as steering, I opted for replacing the assembly with OEM.
