    I think parts are made in Mexico but assembled in Texas...at least according to the vin# and door jamb sticker. I still think that Japanese made and Japanese assembled would have been ideal.
    When I was looking at an economical car (back in 2012) I chose a Yaris over a Fit...why?, Fit got better reviews but I didn't like the fact that it was assembled in China...Yaris Japan!

    Everything is global, esp in the automotive world. Parts from everywhere, assembled everywhere. Even the storied brands, like Toyota, H-D, KTM, etc., all have final assemblies in interesting places. Volvo is Chinese owned these days and it hasn't put a dent in the sales around these parts.
