It’s the same here in NC. I got my conceal permit to make it easier to purchase guns instead of having to get a background check for each one and wait. I can walk in a gun store now and walk out with one in less than 15 minutes.

Last time I got mine renewed I was ask to write my name and address on an envelope. My permit came a couple weeks later and the actual permit had the wrong address number on it. I called and they said I wrote the wrong address on the envelope. I said well how did it show up at my house in my mailbox? Also it’s a renewal so the address was correct to begin with. They said we’ll send you another

If you don’t have a concealed permit here you have to go to the sheriff office and fill out papers, wait three days for a background check and pay $15 for a permit. That’s on pistols only. Long guns they can call wherever in the store and you can be out in an hour if your lucky.
