The Hydro Slick is a trip. I never seen a product bead off the applicator pad.
I need to pick up some Hydro Suds.

lol that got me too. I put a few drops on the applicator pad, reached out, made a nice straight line across the surface and nothing! Took me a second to look down and realize it literally just rolled off the pad. lol

I haven’t tried the Hydro Suds yet, so I’m hoping it’ll be as good as their other stuff. Might try that this weekend if I have time.

Been using Meguiar's Carnauba wax since my teenage muscle car days. There may be better products out there, but it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

    Lots, straight from the factory.
Quick and easy, I use Griots products. I don’t detail like I used to as this is an off road truck and I don’t care to spend that much time on a vehicle anymore.

That said, if you want a wicked shine that lasts, check out Glare.
This is my car after paint correction and two coats of Glare polish/sealant. Wash, buffed with 3M Perfect It II, wash, Geyon Iron Remover, wash, clay bar, wash, rinse with distilled water, Geyon Prep, Glare, wipe down with clean cloth, Glare again. Applied with random orbital on slow speed as per the directions provided by Glare. Used a Griots red 5.5” and 3” pads.

Optimum Opti-Seal once a year & Optimum Spray Car Wax after every wash. I've been using Bead Maker some too & it really adds a nice pop after a wash.

This is what I went with. I don’t know about durability but it sure looks great.

JetSeal is great. I recently switched to Vitalize spray sealant at the recommendation of my local Detail Garage and it’s been working great as well. It’s easier to apply than JetSeal IMO

Ive used turtle wax and Nu Finishin the past, seemed good but I wasn't very knowledgeable on waxes, still not TBH.

Just got Meguiar's Liquid wax and clay bar Monday to try soon. Truck hasn't gone more than 50 miles in the past three months though so still pretty clean from last wash sitting in the garage.

Update: It was raining today and the Meguiar’s CMX it definitely different than a wax. The water beads were very small and as I drove all the water rolled off the truck in the wind.

    Pretty cool

The best last step product won't work well without the proper prep work. I feel like that's fairly common knowledge at this point, but is always worth repeating. I also realized many years ago that doing this stuff without a machine is an exercise in futility.

That said, I like Collonite 845 for a wax, but usually apply it over something else like Klasse AIO or Blackfire. I've never tried the Klasse Glaze over the AIO, so I'm going to give that a shot next.

Honestly, on a white Tacoma like mine, you just aren't going to get spectacular results. That's just the nature of white paint. As long as something is on my paint, that's fine by me. Of all the stuff in my cabinet, Klasse AIO is what I reach for the most.

Lately its been the classic Meguiars Cleaner Carnauba wax in the red metal tin. Ive tried Nu-Finish, Mothers liquid Carnauba, Turtlewax ICE and nothing lasts longer than the Cleaner wax. Its cheap and effective.
