    I didn't read all pages but here's my list;

1-Vent blow's directly on my right hand and with the AC on I've got a frozen hand.

2-Cheap paint, it chips too easily compared to my 04 taco that I sold to buy this one..

other than those little items I love my 06 and wont sell it until they come out with a diesel like in europe.

yeah i put a pop n lock on for the tailgate, toyota said i shouldn't get the locking gas cap cause they had a lot of returns cause of the pressure not holding. if i wanted to by pass the screen i'd first stick a metal rod down the inlet for the gas and puncture that screen. still not protected enough.

I dont like the cup holders on the 07 Taco. and theres no good place to put a bowl of cereal. I have a 2000 Honda Accord that has a perfect storage bin in front of the shifter, and the 03 Silverado had a nice storage spot on top of the center storage spot that was perfect for food, cell phone, joint rolling etc.

I am mad that even the 1st Gen Tundra had more bells and whistles and this thing has nothing. Led Tailights (09) are you kidding me? I don't need that crap, for 25-30K I want:

Way better sun visors, these things are cheap and what no lights!!!!!
    Moonroof/Sunroof
    Heated leather Seat option
Bluetooth in all or at least 2 speakers!
Navi option/Better stereo layout (or at least a screen so i can read the Sat radio Text)
A actual antenna mast, are you kidding me? Its 2010 man, put it in the window or do like the European cars, an amplified radio/sat radio all in one piece on the roof.
    Cargo Light for Bed
Whats up with the crappy compass time console, its real cheesy. How about a trip computer with it (mpg stats, etc)
USB Plug next to the Aux jack and make it Ipod ready
    Sliding center console
Nicer dash layout and materials (hard plastic stinks)
Better adjustable headrest (hell my 93 Camry has those)!
Colored Body Side Moulding (for extra ding protection)
    Hood Struts
    Locking tailgate
One piece electric back window (that sliding tiny thing reminds me of the ford ranger)!
Turn signal mirrors with running board lighting
    120v plug inside the cabin

Oh yeah, an whats up with the crappy 1990s ac/heat controls, they suck man, too basic, I dont need electronic climate control, but its like I am driving a 90s sentra....

But I guess that's why the tundra is way more money!

Personally I think the American SUVs and Trucks have way more bells and whistles in the right price range, but I sucked it up and went with Toyota for Quality over all that other stuff, plus its amazing how much money these thing sell for on the used market. Try that with a Colorado, Frontier, Explorer or F150, etc...

The only things I can think are when you put the heater on the floor more air comes out of the defrost and face level vents. The 12 volt plug doesn't stay on with the key off (need to do the mod) and the stock speakers suck a** big time.

Wow so you want a lexus pu400 then not a tacoma?
Btw pu400 is what they would call it if they made one.

Only thing I don't like about my Tacoma is the payment. Once it's paid off it will be my dream truck!

What's the difference between a metal rod to puncture the screen and puncturing a gas tank ? In fact, it's easier to do it because of gravity.

My friend got his gas stolen in that way. He had to replace a gas tank.

Gas cap lock is useless IMHO.

So... Are these things really necessary? You got to pay to play. A Tacoma isn't a Mercedes with a bed.

Well said .... but the usual comeback is ...."I paid $29,648 for this and I should get ......"

Well, $29,648 doesn't buy what it used to. Now, it is well known that if you were to go out and buy all the components of the vehicle separately the cost would be so much more.

It is a good vehicle for the price.

The bed...soooo light duty. I know I have the short bed but I can't even confidently put my dirt bike in it. I feel like the cleats are going to rip out.
