I'll get some today showing where on the plastic pieces I trimmed to clear the brackets. Gotta find a dremel / angle grinder to work on clearance-ing the hood latch support bar behind the light bar. Hope there aren't any welds I have to grind through that I would then need to have re-tacked...

Here are the pics trimmed off pieces, the others bolted in place, and the lower hood strut bar contacting the light bar 20191017_155351.jpg20191017_155359.jpg20191017_155452.jpg20191017_155440.jpg20191017_155629.jpg20191017_155604.jpg 20191017_155600.jpg 20191013_173755.jpg

The reason why the contact with the hood latch bar is important, is the light is currently aimed too high, and I cannot adjust it any farther without notching that bar for clearance.

Here is how much I trimmed up the lower support bar for clearance. Hit it with some black rattlecan afterwards for oxidation protection...

Is this a common occurrence for the light bar installation? This is the first I have seen or read about trimming the support bar.

Depends how high up you want the light bar to sit in the OEM opening. For mine to sit square and flush, I had to remove that material.

Installed my light bar on New Years Day. Hardest part of the install was tightening the light bar bolts. I ended up removing the fog lights to properly tighten them. Hard wired the lights to my high beams utilizing and add-a-circuit to the left high beam fuse. Using the provided wiring harness: Black to ground, blue to the add-a-circuit, and white taped off. I have the combo beam and the light spread and brightness are great. Highly recommend.

Has anyone trimmed the air dam to put back in after installing the light bar?

Great work and thanks for all the photos. My brackets come in today so I’ll install them tonight after work. Appreciate it.
