Ah gotcha. Well I think they need new shaft s too. I'll look tonight. But with that all in kind be pretty cheap and you pay shipping since that'll be kind of high due to weight.

 

What isn't wrong with those things?

Probably cheaper to buy a new set after you buy rod ends, spherical bearings, misalignment spaces, shafts, and a rebuild.

 

Shipping was about 60$ from Logan, Utah to Concord, California. And all the stuff listed above minus shafts can be had for 200$ish if you do it yourself.

 

Well they have probably 40-50k on them so new seals is a good idea.

There are no spherical bearings or misalignments left haha disintegrated.



Techically they needed new shafts when I bought them from Timmy. He even gave me new shafts but turns out dsm sent him the wrong ones, they were 2nd gen shafts.



Just minor pitting I think like one spot. Probably be fine without replacing that.

Either way yeah if you diy it'll be 250-300 I think. I wasn't going to ask more than 400 for them. That way if it costs 500 to rebuild its still cheaper than new I think. Not 100% sure what a new set costs.

 

Right now, IFP Kings for 1st gens are going for north of $1200 everywhere.

Drove up to the lot we are eyeing to walk around a bit. Man it's gorgeous up there. Got treated with a nice sun set to seal the deal as well.

Yeah the crazys. Beartooths are too the South but trees are slightly blocking them. Cut down and few and it'll be good.

Yeah plenty of space that's for sure. Just a matter on if I can afford it and to build. We drew up on GE where the house could go and shop plus small stall barn/horse shelter and 2 2.5 acre pastures.

Be nice to work towards that.

First..house haha then shop. Or both at the same time but not sure how I could swing that. Hoping I can just do a 3 car oversized attached garage for now.

 

A construction loan for home plus shop is easier than just a shop loan A shop is on the very soon list for the wife and I. But hopefully we will be able to pay cash for it for the most part


We closed on our place in Worland on the 1st. And immediately rented it back to the sellers. But going to be making a trip there in a week and a half with a bunch of our stuff to leave in the garage. Going to be nice to see the place without snow. We only saw it in winter lol

 

The land looks awesome. I'm hoping to do the same whenever we finally retire and decide where we're going to stay long term.

We found a house with a shop on a decent size lot in our price range where we're going next and I was so excited. Even had A/C in the shop. But it just went off the market followed by nearly every other house we've been interested in. It's frusterating that while mortgage rates are falling house prices are going up because there's not enough to meet the demand. Perfect time to move and buy our first house
