When I placed my order last week Phil told me he would contact me before they get started on the build to confirm everything and make sure I didn't want to make any changes (even though I added every option offered).

    Hey Swatdude1,

You'll get a call when your order is at the build stage to confirm everything you selected. If you want to make additions you can do it at this time as well. You can also send Phil an email but be patient on the reply they are a small shop.

I went the email route comms back on the email might be slow but when I got the call for the build they had everything I'd emailed about so it made it super fast to go over.

Thank you! I look forward to seeing your flatbed project, too.

RangeRick, yes... what JasonLee said. The bumpers and sliders are custom built long ago. I did see a member (22REthan) who is offering skid plates for 1st gen in the for sale section (he just had a Memorial Day sale). The snorkel is an ARB Safari Snorkel which you should still be able to order. You'll have to buy a hole saw for installation. :)

    Thank you!

I'd trade my SB Drifter for a Nomad with no or little downtime

I may have misled you there, post edited. He’s looking to buy a SB drifter-outright. Doesn’t have a nomad :/

I know. I'm just saying that my SB Drifter would be available for trade for a Nomad :D I'm not going to have much downtime.

Many thanks to @tacoburn327 for letting me check out his Drifter. After finally seeing one up close, I'm even more excited than I was before. This thing really is INCREDIBLE quality!

Question on 3rd Gen bed rail prep:

I've seen Phil and others post that the 3rd Gen doesn't have issues like the 2nd Gen does with the bed rails bending, and the KB Voodoo caps aren't needed. But does the 3rd Gen still need prep such as the silicone beads and aluminum tape to keep dust out?

Yes. The 3rd gen bed caps are better than the 2nd gen ones but the bed is still made in the same way - composite, sheet metal and holes.... so many holes :annoyed:

so the caps are reusable but it is still advisable to remove them and the rails and seal EVERYTHING

    When in doubt... plug it

It's a nice custom job by @jberry813 . A Prinsu (I believe) cut down to fit the remaining space. I had looked into this before as I want to utilize that space as well. I also think Sherpa Equipment in FoCo has made a few (at least one) 1 offs that are similar, so I will most likely contact them when I get to that point.

I live a few streets away from sherpa and have been a little bothersome on trying to get them to make one with even offering to lend them my truck. The same with uptop, gotta get some wedge love lol
