Thank you was most excellent. Had good food with my family and some extended family, gov opened up for larger gatherings in the state. So we all sat outside and had some great food and conversation.

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a new Traeger Pro 575 pellet pooper. I ignored @Misplaced Nebraskan too and got the WiFi model haha. Although you can’t start the grill via WiFi so not sure how much it will help but who knows. I’m looking forward to learning the in and outs of BBQ. Accessories you guys recommend to get?!

The WiFi will be nice so you don't have to go monitor temps or adjust temps if needed. :)

Get a good set of BBQ tools. I need to get some nice ones again.

more gizmos than I would want but if I had them I’d use them.

amen. I have a few sets. One crappy one okay. Next time I’m getting one good set. I also recommend getting them dishwasher safe if that’s an option for you. Next set I get will be a plain set with no plastic/wood handle to them, hopefully just straight up stainless steel.

    Wouldn't you like to know!
A good knife! I use the Victorinox chefs knife for like $40. I'm curious what knives everyone else is using?

I’ve got a cover and the folding tray on mine. That and rib racks or jerky racks and you should be good. A smoke tube could help if you want a heavier smoke flavor. Oh and stay away from Traeger brand pellets. They taste like nothing to me.

Hey random question, I typically cook small stuff like sausages, boneless/skinless chicken thighs, etc. I have a charbroil dual propane/charcoal I use the charcoal side to smoke. Is there an additional rack I can use or something like that to have another level of sausages in there? Almost like one of those cooling racks but for meats. :D

In a pinch you can use a cooling rack as long as it fits and isn't a plastic coated one..

I'm not in a pinch so I was wondering if anyone had used/made anything before. I might grab one of those though to use.

if you just want to add a raised grid above your current one, just use bolts/washers/nuts and an additional grid that fits, that is what I did on my BGE, like this:

That's kind of what I'm looking for I think.

I'll see if I can get something going. I may also end up with an electric smoker of some sort in the near future anyway and I can just get a crapload of racks in that with sausages and chicken :p

I've also taken the top nuts off of mine now that the smoke/char has kind of stuck the top washers to the nut it sits on, that way the grill grate can just be lifted on and off
