Customer just called about why his tool still hasn't been fixed in over seventy days. I told him his parts haven't been shipped, but I could give him an eta. When I looked it up it said about 2 months ago...told him they hadn't updated it but i'd let him know as soon as I knew anything. That's about how it's going with everything. Every posted ship date keeps getting pushed back.

Yeah, we are experiencing a rush (small, but there) of orders from current customers who are opening back up.


I explained to the "executive committee" that this may happen and we needed to be prepared to add people or work overtime to cover the surge about a month ago.


They didnt listen.


So, now, when they come to me and ask me to call a customer to extend the due date, I simply tell them "No. I told you this would happen and you've had a month to prepare for it. Now you need to make sure my customers get their delivery when we stated we'd have it to them."


They dont like me.

 

Yeah. But the trailer is a goner, and the tractor is probably toast also.

 

On hold for almost 2 hours. Said fuck it and had the customer search high/low for the info i needed. He found it so I was able to order the parts and hopefully get this shit rolling. It was still under warranty so I decided to order him completely new internals, save for the gearbox, for his impact because he's a cool dude

So the other day I went by academy looking for my 1/4 oz jig heads for salt usually use mirrolure , I get there and their fishing section is wiped out basically no jig heads. Once I get back home I get online looking their website anything over 25$ is free shipping and found Norton 1/4oz so i ordered 8pks ( Dont normally use these ). Went by Walmart a couple days later and behold they had a shelf of mirrolures went ahead and bought 8 of those too . Moral of the story I need to go salt water fishing !!!

I’m not really a fan of academy sports. At least on some of the outdoor stuff I have looked at/ for the stuff they have seams cheap compared To what bass pro has or what I can find at dicks sporting goods. We use to have a gander mountain but they closed up, they always had high prices on stuff.

 

For a lot my stuff it’s usually toss up a lot stuff on Amazon is cheaper , academy, and bass pro but Walmart does have good prices on terminal though
