Replaced my fuel filter today (have the relocate kit that came with the 255lph pump). It had been about 50k I think. I poured all the gasoline out of the old filter, and the filter was still heavy. Like surprisingly so. I assume that's from sediment that the filter collected. Remember kids, always change your fuel filters.

 

mate. I love posts like this, which fly in the face of those whom are adamant that there is no benefit to changing their fuel filters. Lol. Your injectors thank you.

 

There is no benefit to changing fuel filters.

 

8$ filter or replace 500$ injectors prematurely....

Gotcha! I need to gather all of my stock parts and finally be rid of them.

I can tell you that you run outta places to park stuff.

 

I am seriously thinking of the same fuel filter you guys are running. I like the quick change option.

 

I go by choice two. If the injectors go because of the pump then there are bigger problems at hand and it is time to drop that tank to give it a thorough cleaning out. I personally don't mind shelling out what I have to on the truck to keep it running tip top. If my injectors ever go then it's perfect reason to change out to 710cc plug and plays.

I checked my fuel pressure after running the AEM for over 60,000 miles without an external filter assembly.. things are spot on beautiful throughout the band with zero drop offs under sustained boost.

 

.001% 1st world problems. id be ok with said problem.

 

but my filter is easy access out of tank. pointing out id be crazy not to make that maintainence paramount.

 

I’ve hung on to all this stuff in a box......for some unknown reason. Like I’m gonna go back to NA or something. Lol. Some of this is worth a little something, a few bucks in my pocket ain’t a bad thing.

My exhaust is all on. Got doug thorley long tubes to a urd y pipe and urd cat back 3” and put a vibrant resonator in before the muffler. Excited to see what she sounds like. Also installing the new side skirts tomorrow. Coolant is bleeding at the moment. Gotta fill
It with oil and run the gauge wires out to the motor. And she’s ready to go. Justdsm is getting me a tune to get her going. So soon enough she will be running.
