Yes, we've been under stage 1 fire restrictions fo a couple of weeks now and I don't expect that to improve before Fall. All the local towns have cancelled July 4th fireworks and there are no fires or charcoal use in USFS campgrounds.

Picayune and Placer Gulch roads plowed open today. Icy and slushy conditions reported in San Juan County.

Anyone have suggestions on cheap USB chargeable handheld radios? Got a small group of half a dozen filthy casuals going for an offroad trip next month and i don't think anyone has radios.

Been running those handhelds for a couple years with no issues. Haven't tried the USB charger but I ought to order one for the truck

What do I need to register my truck at a new address? Fill out the "Add/change a vehicle address" form at https://mydmv.colorado.gov/?

What happens when a renewal is due? they mail the notice to the new address? What if it's a different county than the previous registration?

Yep...when you go to register it will actually ask you if you have moved and if you have updated your address. If you say no it will tell you to do that first, then register. Doesn't matter if it's a different county. It'll ask you all that. Next year it should all go to the new address.

"The driver license and state ID address change service does not change the address associated with your vehicle registration. You will need to visit your county title and registration office to change this information."

So what does the (probably terrible 1990s) website of the county you're changing to state? I assume that the registration fees will be different/less down in Pueblo area.

Sure. If I left my DL address, but changed my vehicle address online do they mail the renewal card to the new address and allow me to renew online without having to go to the DMV?

False. You don't need to go into an office. The link is right there on the DMV website by the registration link.

Also false. Mail can be forwarded for 12 months.

You may have misread this: "Enter the date you'd like us to begin forwarding your mail to your new address. The date you enter must not be more than 30 days prior to today, or more than 3 months from today. Mail should arrive at your new address 7-10 postal business days after your move effective date OR your file date, whichever date is later."

It's that simple? no going to the DMV with a copy of my utility bill to prove it?
