Concealed pistol. Thoughts?

My friend glued a tire pressure gauge to one side of a false bottom to use as a handle then threw in a few gas receipts in there.

How are those center console lockboxes even an option when it appears nothing larger than a subcompact can fit?

For example if you go larger to compact or full size, then it probably won't fit

 

Why not just carry it on your body? Leaving a gun in your truck is just stupid so just carry it on you.

I would hope and assume that the gun is not going to be stored in the truck, rather just placed in the console when traveling with owner in the truck.

That's a roomate problem, not a gun problem.

Also, the cam/combo lock on the center console thing... that just screams "steal whatever is in here". The best lock in the world is useless when the center console lid can be pried open with a screwdriver in 2 seconds. Assuming there is no reinforcement of the lid and/or console case, I'd bet I could open it with my hands.

 

I agree, that cam lock can be seen easily from outside the truck

Is the Console Vault a full vault or just a lid? Looking for something myself.

Thanks! Tried Google but so many options popped up that it was hard to distinguish which ones were actually Console Vault. I figured their website might have had a photo of one not installed as well but no luck.

 

I have a gun box bolted under the seat. Doesn't help for quick access, but its great for storage of the weapon or other stuff if I'm at the beach/park, etc and wanna lock shit up.
