Ok who's got an answer for me.... Front drive shaft, slip yoke closer to the diff or tcase? :notsure:

    Does it matter?

Probably doesn’t matter since it doesn’t really move up and down

female side of the shaft on bolted to the highest side is the general rule of thumb. The slip yoke is sheathed on these but on unsheathed ones it prevents water pooling

8FE5FD98-2984-48FF-BBBD-61D1FD6661CA.jpg Say hello to my new little friend. I was trying to knock out my lawn mower deck rebuild and the nut holding the pulley on the spindles were not coming loose. I had a 60” cheater bar on my breaker after heating them up. I was dragging my kid across the shop yarding on them as he was trying to hold it in place and they wouldn’t budge. About a .25 second with the new impact and they zipped right off. Why did I wait so long in life to buy one.

That the mid-torque? Wait till you try the high-torque model. But really the 3/8" m12 stubby sees the most use for me. (out of the impact wrenches)

Then you'll want the 1/2 stubby because the big bastard doesn't fit half the places you want it. Then you'll want the ratchets cause who's got time to turn that shit when a motor can do it for you. :anonymous:

It's a slippery slope and I haven't found the end of that rabbit hole yet. Pretty sure I've reached the bottom, but :bananadead:

Its a high torque. I have some 3/8 air ratchets and a Mikita 3/8 impact but they don’t have enough grunt on the big stuff.

Itd be almost impossible to get out without damage if you're unarmored.

I have everything but skids and on 33s. Might make it out there without a big dent?

Just curious if anyone has affordable options for cutting and bending 3/16" steel?
I'm in the process of making sliders and need to get the bolt-on plates cut and formed.

Here is what I have so far.
    Cutting:
Everett Steel, plasma cut $281 sent to outside bender $325 Total $665
Terrene Inc, cut only (not sure if plasma or laser) $261
    Bending:
    Can AM Fabrication, $160
    H & R Mechanical Systems, $150

So best pricing I found is 261+150=$411

Yeah I am on stock skids too. Once I get the new clamp that can be tightened hopefully can plan a run though.

@twalchlii1 and I toured Evans and made it out fine. And he had a trail limo.

Man, I wish that would have worked. I could not find the size I needed. 5"x3"x3/16" doesn't seem to exist.
I actually tried to build this out of flat bar. But when I welded it together it warped and bent like a banana. Obviously I have a lot to learn about welding.

Why not just step up to 1/4". I know you can find 5x3 angle in 1/4".

Sadly I don't know anyone who has a brake big enough and capable of doing 3/16 plus stuff
