Yeah you just mount the outer tube to the truck. Sway bar mounts would work good for that. Or maybe just the skid plates.

I've read that just poly bushings are fine.

This is how I want to do my rear setup. Hopefully can start not too long after the front is in.

I’m wanting to switch from camburg longtravel kit to the LSK kit and was wondering what do I need to look for in order to make sure my camburg spec kings from @Downsouth Motorsports will work with the new kit?? They’re both
    8” 2.5” king coilovers

Finally about to pull the trigger on front coilovers, going with custom ADS coilovers valved to Dirt King’s specs for their kit. Question about springs, do you guys think the 16x600 and a little preload will be enough for full skids/sliders/full plate steel bumper? I know the 600lb is usually plenty enough for 2nd gens, but most I see are running tube bumpers. I have the option of 650lb with the eibach springs, since I know we’ve been over the fact that 700s are overkill.

Edit: I'm leaning towards the 600lb so the shim stack can do its job, just don't wanna go crazy on preloading them.

Yeah I know my reference point for stock travel, I'm currently on 700lb springs with stock arms. But that whole reference point goes out the window with the new geometry and an 8" coilover. That's where I need to gain some perspective. I don't plan on adding a winch, especially without reinforcing the stock frame mounts for the bumper.

Exactly, with some simple math you can figure out the approximate percentage force difference required to achieve your desired ride height (at various points in the suspension cycle). Not sure where DK's shock pivot is at, but obviously with the shock pivot pushed out further you will need more preload with the 600. Or Ryan at Accutune has worked with DK LT setups. He could tell you what route to go.

Does anyone happen to know if CBR make a radiator that fits in a 1st gen Tacoma? I have heard too much negative experiences with the champion radiators and I don’t mind dropping extra coin on a cbr...thanks

Nope. @Anthony250 has another brand all aluminum radiator, but he's on his second one under warranty due to a leak. Custom all aluminum, custom radiator mount for a different size all aluminum radiator, or just go stock replacement are our only options.

If that’s the same Tacoma, Dirt King used it as a test bed for the rear kit. They also built the front bumper. I’m pretty sure this is as legit as it gets.

DK did do a pretty sweet SUA setup for the rear of the Tacoma. Notched the frame for a few extra inches of travel. 19” doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility with that kit.

I've got the same springs that they use on that kit and I'm getting 16.75" so I'd like to see the main spring at bump and spring separation at droop.

I’m running 700’s and I like it. Still do a chunk of preload as well. I like the ride height for when I go crawling and it sets me about the 60/40 up/down travel spot.

Karl (mcmasterfabber on IG) is one of the fabricators and shock tuners at ADS and has ridden in my truck for reference when you call. Can’t hurt to mention your setup is similar to Ryan’s orange truck from flagstaff. And you want his valving, not the dirt king spec. Not sure if they’ll do that though. It’s some top secret stuff apparently lol
