    Do the 1st gen tacoma's also require speaker adapters to fit aftermarket speakers in the doors?

    3'' toytec lift springs wrapped around 5100's. Deck plate mod. TRD seat belt pads. JL audio amps /subs and Alpine speakers. Diff breather mod. Working on a custom rear bumper
    It depends what size speakers you get. If you get the same size as stock your could just pop them in but if you get round ones then you will need a ring/adapter. Some come with a universal adapter which I modified to accept the round speakers in the stock oval's location.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    If you get a speaker with a bigger magnet it might not fit with out and plate.
