They get noisy (creaking). The shocks seem to dampen just fine otherwise. I've currently been spraying WD40 on the passenger side once a week or so to keep the noise down putting off changing it. It's a $15 bearing and only takes me about 45mins to change per side, so not a huge deal, but I've been lazy.

That’s not horrible, but seems like a pain.

Yeah, thats why I just keep WD40 handy. I find the Silicone Water Resistant version lasts the longest.

Not really sure why I go through them so quickly, but I do drive pretty hard everyday. My commute home includes hitting 4 speed bumps behind Kroger everyday at 30mph, lol.

The Olympus Blvd bridge over 635 has a big dip that I think I've got baby air on a time or two. The road narrows to a single lane so sometimes people want to drag race to squeeze another driver. Always fun to see when they're going 45 in their Hyundai, don't realize the dip is there and bottom out.

FM3040 and Edmonds Ln in Lewisville. If you're on Edmonds going across 3040 55mph will get you all 4 wheels off the ground. I was following my wife somewhere and it went yellow as she was crossing so I floored it and hit it at like 65. She said my whole truck came off the ground. Surprisingly soft landing.

Well, best I can get out of the guy is it’s on an ‘04. I asked him if there was a tag, told him I’m trying to see if it’ll fit my ‘06, and all he said was “‘04”.... So, at this point I’m curious how much difference there is in the cab roof line from gen to gen and how goofy it’d look. This one is in my “cash in hand” price range. There’s one in SA that’s perfect, right gen, right bed length, and even the right color... but he’s asking $1300. That’s the “Have a sit down conversation with the wife about finances” zone that I try to avoid... So, exploring my options. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Try some Google translate action, you only need basic questions answered. You know how much aesthetics matter to you, a 1st gen shell in perfect condition wouldn't be worth $450 to me.

I have 2 open spots in a friendly Texas Holdem poker game Friday night at my house (south of Dallas near Red Oak).
.25 / .50 blinds all night long. Cash game. 7:00 start and hard stop at midnight. Come early for pulled pork BBQ sandwiches.
BYOB however, NO ON DRIVES HOME DRUNK....
Max 8 players since I sold my 10 man table, and we will be playing on my 8 man table.

PM me if you want more info or to RSVP a spot. If you RSVP.. please show up, I will turn away folks once I reach 8 people.

We’re going to be taking a trip to the Alabama coast at the end of the month and I’ve got a few items I need to take care of on the Taco. I’ll be replacing the CV boots as 3 of the 4 are split. While I’m in there I’m thinking I’ll go ahead and do the ECGS upgrade. My question is, what is the consensus on the best one to use? Also, who’s got the tool I can rent/borrow? I’m sure this horse has been beat to death, but I hate searching for threads on this forum. Thanks guys.

I was going to reboot my CV’s, but after researching it, I decided to farm it out to Tandem.

CVJ also makes boots for it, or will reboot yours.
Or you can buy autozone replacements.
