Worth it. The tune will be settled by the time they get back home.

We did 1,000mi+ days in our old Geo Metro. Not a lot of fun with no cruise control and tires that were unhappy above 70. Pulling 50mpg was neato though.

    Hey, @OVTune .

Potentially dumb question, but I am only seeing 04B14 Stock in vF and no change in FM after hitting Update. I saw 04B14 Stock was there in the last version, or two. Should there be other 04B14 files?

Just in case for this version of vF, I am seeing an 89.2mb installer file, 1.0.0.0.12 in Help / About, and Release Rev C 0.7.

    Thanks!

    Hi everyone,

I have what might be a few dumb questions on editing shift maps in vF Tuner. The image below is the shift map table for my ECU. I believe one row is speed in KPH, and the other is accelerator angle, in units I cannot figure out. Which row is speed, and which is accelerator angle? i.e. am I editing speed as a function of accelerator angle, or am I editing accelerator angle as a function of speed? What are the units for accelerator angle? Also, why are there four columns in the table for "100"? Is this a relic of Toyota's shift maps? If so, no wonder this truck drives like a blind toddler trying to do his first puzzle.

Is 14.7v safe for the alternator?

Accelerator Angle is the axis ( the ones with the 100, 100, 100, 127.99) and YEP that is how toyota sets up the axises! So actually anything after the first "100" is NOT USED!
There will be an update later that allows you to edit the axises.

So how it works is @ "27" (Accelerator angle) the transmission will shift @ 53.75 (speed)

Increasing the speeds (numbers in green, yellow, red) = holding gears longer before shifting
decreasing the speeds (numbers in green, yellow, red) = Shifting sooner

    VF shows B14 stock
I'm seeing the same version of VF Tonered is seeing

Well, gas is cheap at the moment. 1200 miles = 60 gallons = $120 in Texas.

04B14 STOCK support is available officially in vF Tuner now, but tune packs are still being developed

Another good reason for a nice road trip. If it were me, I do it and combine it a camping night. :D

So I'm sitting in my truck with my laptop and realized I don't have instructions for how to find which ECU id i have. Does anyone have instructions? Thanks for the help!
