Took a trip up north to get out of town and get some much needed R&R. Took some light trails and found some old ruins of some cabins. First camp site we made a friend with the German Shepard from the cabin a mile or so away. Second night found a perfect spot on a lake.

    Today. :bananadance:

Yesterday, I scooped up some Aero Precision AR uppers and lowers, made in Tacoma. Pretty excited for that build.

Yeah the wide angle lens on my Galaxy S10 distorts things quite a bit, but it gets everything in the shot!

Had an issue with the halo/switchback on my driver's side shroud. When the DRL is on, it lights up amber, when the headlights are on, it lights up white. Since I don't drive the truck much, only noticed recently that the halo/switch back was out while the headlights were on. Checked wiring, all was OK. Thought maybe it was the harness, and luckily a member was selling one, so I bought it in hopes that's all it was. Pic for reference.

    [IMG][IMG]

Harness came in, swapped it out, and somehow only half of the halo came back on. Passenger side was completely fine. Checked all of the wiring again, just in case. Everything was fine. Through @vssman's suggestion about turning off the halo/switchback on both sides, or keeping it amber while the headlights are on, I reached out to the person that built my retros about the wiring of it. With his help, I did that, and that's how it'll run from now on. Different look. I'll have to snap a pic of how it looks later, and post it up.

While messing with the lights, I decided to tackle the other issue I was having. The headlights had a "peeling look" to it, possibly the UV coating or something like that. Sorry, should have taken a pic before for reference, and completely forgot. The guy at Autozone suggested I try the product below.

So I did it last night, and I have to say, it looks like it did the trick! They look almost as good as new. There's small chips from rocks, etc, but no more peeling look! Pretty please with the product, and super easy to use. This is how they look now.

But it looks like the spray stuff ran onto the bumper, but just on one side... DOH! Now I have to find a way to clean this off, without fucking up the paint.

    Still in planning phase ...
Changed out old beat up headlights for TRD Sport ones. Slapped in cheap aftermarket grill until I can get the time to break down OEM one and do a colormatch.

What's the preferred method of mounting quick fist clamps on the bed rail? I have a piece of 3/4" plywood - thinking I'll drill the center hole for the 3/8" bolt to the rail T-nut and countersink the head, then screw the mount into the wood. Think that would work?

Not worried about weather-proofness since I run a topper 100% of the time. This would be for an axe, shovel and 5 lb propane tank (insert hank hill meme)
