    Continuing with guns...

    Turns out the gunsmith did use a short throated reamer on my chamber so the factory ammo seating into the lands was normal. The short throated reamer was meant for shooting lighter bullets, which is in opposition to my intentions for the rifle. However, I've found that I can still seat the heaviest bullets I intend to shoot at .020 off the lands without, or at least only barely, compressing the loads.

    That said, the gunsmith told me if I wasn't happy with it, to send it back and he would run the long throated reamer down it (giving me an additional .100" of free bore) free of charge and send it back on his own dime, which was very cool of him.

    Got a 100 rounds loaded up of various bullets to hit the range with. I'm trying out a modified Slattery method of load development so I ended up getting a chrono. I wouldn't bother if I was just shooting at 100 yrds, but to develop long range loads, I came to the conclusion it was necessary.

    I roll my own. Not sure it's any cheaper since that's not really my goal, but I can tune it to my rifle for best accuracy.

    Most of what I'm shooting today I bought 10 to 15 years ago, sadly that supply is getting low. After this current panic is over I need to start re-stocking.

    Once the price comes back down, buy it cheap and stack it deep.
